Ultimately if this comes to a Russia vs NATO war it ain't coming down to sending Leopard 2 tanks (or any direct development from there)... Scholz is obviously in Russia's pocket.

EDIT: And not sending them if anything makes it that much worse if it does come to a war involving Russia and NATO down the line.

Maybe, but I think it's more to do with leaving Germany even more insecure with it's deprecated military.

Germany 2nd largest country donor to Ukraine. 3rd largest military donor.

Don't be a ******** idiot.

Yet Scholz drags his feet on every major decision which might tip the balance, not to sniff at it but a large bulk of the significant German aid has been defensive or humanitarian in nature.

If the vast majority of NATO members had actually invested what they should have over decades they would not be so reluctant now to face the inevitable, if Russia takes Ukraine, they are not going to stop there. It's almost like climate change, people can see it happening, but no one does anything. Maybe we will all end up with what we deserve somehow or another.

It's worse than climate change because it's not even debatable, it's happening in front of us and no amount of denying it can stop the facts being present and indisputable.

There are other nations offering their tanks, it does require a certain amount of logistic/ammo/maintenance support from Germany, which is also somewhat cut back, but not for them to send their tanks.

Unfortunately as things stand Putin has little reason, aside from potential nuclear escalation, to stop at Ukraine now unless his military is too spent to do anything. The country will slowly turn into a military first society like North Korea.

2nd largest donor. Look it up.

You want to argue Germany (along with everyone else) should be doing more, than I totally agree with you. You want to come out with utterly smoothbrain crap like claiming that the third largest military donor to Ukraine is in Russia's pocket, learn to think.

You aren't reading what I'm saying and just reacting. Not all military aid is offensive in nature and/or has the potential to tip the balance on the battlefield and in the cases where more significant offensive natured weapons have been supplied Scholz has been a resistance to push past before it has happened, every time. I'm also not accusing Germany wholesale as being in Russia's pocket but specific people within their leadership.

EDIT: It may be their own politics/political position/personal ideals rather than necessarily being in Russia's pocket but whatever the result is essentially the same at this point.

Im glad, but I also remember just a week ago the US said it would take several months for them to get these ready for use if it was decided to send them on scale. It's because while they have huge supplies of the parts, they need to be built.

Sadly parts and training is a huge bottleneck to a lot of stuff. As some ex-military person was pointing out to utilise Challengers in the field you not only need trained crews but a whole trained maintenance support group acting like a military AA/RAC to keep them running (amongst other things).
