I don't know as much about Soviet radar systems as I do their tanks/planes, but I would assume that if a Ukrainian SAM radar pinged one of the balloon reflectors, and that ping was reflected back at it, then that would make the SAM radar a more obvious target for a Russian anti-radiation missile? It's a question not a statement, anyone know?

I believe it was the Bison, def not the Bear as the incident you're describing was a double bluff. The bombers in question didn't have the endurance for intercontinental use (though they could have made it to the USA on a suicide run if needed) they just built them to bluff the USA into believing they had the ability.

Russia was never that mighty in tank production, the USSR was, mainly due to Ukrainian tanks. Russia just produced budget/export tanks to compliment them.

The thing for me that still intrigues me totally is no one no one is trying to stop this.
So no one in the west supports ending ukraine deaths.

You do understand the concept of NOT letting another country just invade you and take your land/destroy your infrastructure/kill your people right?

If the Russians invaded your country and took a lot of land whilst bombing your home and killing your loved ones, would you be just happy to say "yeh just let them have at it and take whatever they want"?

This is one of the trademark stamps of a Putin shill. If I had a quid for every time I've seen someone read this off their "how to be a vatnik" crib sheet on Twitter, I'd be able to buy Ukraine a tank or two. You score no trolls whatsoever out of ten... though I guess given the number of us you've attracted a response from, I may grudgingly have to raise that to one out of ten.

I'm almost 60 and would make a useless soldier. So I'm only qualified to join the Russian army. However I am qualified to pay tax, and I'm happy to pay for my share of the volley of NATO cruise missiles which could finish this invasion in about 24 hours.
 
Ukraine has enough manpower

Westerners are better off staying in their country and paying taxes because by doing so you are paying for the weapons that go to Ukraine and if you want to help more, lobby your politicians to send more weapons or make direct money donations to Ukraine, it's worth much more to them than you trying to go there as the Russian shills keep demanding you do

I had a semi serious conversation with an ex army friend about going over when the war escalated out of Eastern Ukraine. I would be a hindrance and probably get others killed as well as myself.

I worked with some friends to fill a van full of aid and got it to the Polish border.

I keep in contact with my Ukrainian friends to make sure they're OK.

History does not judge Russian leaders favourably. This action will be no different.

Honestly this whole Commie/Marxist thing going on in the US is laughable. They are bringing back the 50-80s enemy but this time its just at home. The idea that any member of Congress is a Commie is a joke.
