Looks pretty fractured and drawn down the lines of Russian speaking and Ukrainian speaking to me

Yes bottom two is relivent to who they were voting for the outgoing Russian or the comedian and the top one looks like a Russian propaganda map, check on the last census map, also they got the right to vote for what language they spoke in 2010 just because you speak russian your not russian or half the planet would be still be england, and they said Russian to help with cross border issues and as they say the rest is history Moscow took it as a sign

What are you on about..

Here's a hint. What happened when the Ukrainian forces made it into Kherson. If you looked at those election and language maps, you would believe that people would hate the AFU getting there. However, the city erupted with joy and thanks for freeing them from Russian occupation.

When the Russian's took it, not much happened, they could barely muster a crowd.

In short, be careful looking at those maps and making assumptions.

Ah sorry thought it was the latest election but none the less it's the choice between the Russian back presidents or the more pro eu ones so they prove nothing on whither they want to be part of Russia or not

Well if you believe that, fine. I disagree.

And my assertion is not that they want to part of Russia as such, more that they culturally see themselves as part of that group. They identify with it more than the western part of Ukraine.

They've literally had a civil war and 2 revolutions over the past 15 years over it.

Did they? Or did they have a Russian backed regime trying to control it? Russia has literally tried to take legal ownership of parts of Ukraine, and anything military that happens had RF backing. i.e. it isn't a civil war, it's a hostile takeover by a foreign power.

If the IRA got the backing of Southern Irish forces and tried to lay claim to Scotland, would it be civil war, or would it be the meddling of another government where previously they had almost zero chance of being successful. I completely admit I'm stretching here, but Russia has much to be blamed for in Ukraine.

Observe what happened in Kherson, vs what you think happened.

I would also highly suggest that since last year, the views of many Ukrainian residents has changed quite significantly.

Absolutely, i'm not absolving them of anything, most of the blame lies with them, it's hard to argue otherwise.

Quite possibly, hard to know at the moment but it'll be interesting to see what the fallout is.

This has got to be fake news, Putin is now sending out T-55's from early 50's. Is he also planning on raising the draft age to 90 to find crews with the experience to use these things?!?

At this point anything is possible. However, I'll stick to the old mantra "i'll believe it when I see it"... Only when we start seeing confirmed reports of blown out t55 hulls can we then start to see the true picture.

No one wants to be part of Russia. Not even Russians want to be part of Russia. They want to live overseas away from that utter toilet and all of the wealthy send their children overseas.

Nah

Its the eason the 105 L7 was made (after the UK got a look at the T54 armour)

Brah, I know it's a simulation and all and but South Africa was killing T-55's in the 1970s and 1980s using 90mm guns mounted to their IFVs. I'd guess that they did not hit the T-55 head on the front armour like the simulation and instead focused on the turret and sides: though some operators claim to have sent T55 turrets into the sky with a single shot head on by aiming between the turret and hull

Uk didnt field HEAT on the 20 lber only APDS ( 20 years before the Denel GT2) , so a much more modern gun using HEAT will penetrate the T54/55.
