I don't see Putin backing down now no matter what happens over the course of the next few months, years.

Just don't see it, and don't see it ended well for anyone.

It's not ended well for far too many souls already right?

No way he is going to back down now, in my opinion at least.

I still think how this war ends will be out of Putins hands.

It cant go on forever, one of them has to give, my moneys on Putin being forced out.

We can only hope.

Ukraine can only really lose if the west stop supplying them

They need the sanctions to bite a lot harder so Russian citizens and Elites suffer

I think it needs to be done within the inner circles.

I doubt very much the loss of his men or any international pressure would come even close to his decision making.

As for his personal calculations he got them wrong on day one.

I really don't know what he is going to do. He is the sort of person who will not back down over something like this, but he has no way out.
 
Ton of activity in the Baltic Sea today - and lots of stuff making runs up Estonia keeping them on their toes in St. Petersburg I'd imagine, now Poseidon doing a race track off Kaliningrad. I imagine in response to Putin's nuclear posturing.

I think what he wants is to introduce mandatory military training for kids coming out of school and then those who are trained up can be called upon first in the event of needing to defend the homeland within a few years after they complete their training and it means there will always be several hundred thousand members of society who recently completed some military training and can quickly be mobilized to defend the homeland.

This is what Finland does and it means they always have around 200k people who can be called up to defend the homeland without needing training because they already know how to use weapons and work in a group

That being said - I'm not sure who can invade Britain though
