I'll be honest I was just repeating what I was told by an expert I trust and didn't bother to check the math, but I have now and it is correct.

The MoD and BBC both estimate approximately 50k killed as of mid March, that's only 0.035% of their population. Factor in the fact that the Kremlin propaganda figures will be much lower it makes sense that he's right about the people there not really being bothered/concerned by it yet.

Not much of an expert is he! :D

As for them not being that bothered by it, suuure, that's why most of the young Russians who could ended up fleeing the country months ago.

It's only one sex/gender that's mobilised and only within a certain age range, discount that a bunch have fled the country already and then it's not necessarily a trivial figure that has died and frankly there's a much larger figure at risk of being mobilised and not necessarily too happy about taking on that risk.

Seems a slight difference from the fully loaded version:

I guess they can smother the lower plate and hull/turret sides with their own reactive blocks and weld up cage armour for the rear if it helps.

Don't think any upgrades change the strong point of the tank which is its turret front and the gun.

Interested in how they're getting shells for this thing, not as if a wide range of countries use that 120mm rifled tank gun. Are we sending a shipping container weekly or something.

Given the amount of RAF A400M Atlas flying in and out of Rzeszów we are probably shipping quite a bit of ammo in.

Unlikely to be just a shipping container a month.

Amazon Prime will just deliver a few Toyota Aensis loads every few days.

Going to be interesting to see how the Russians respond to this.
I hope this has all the other bloggers and TV propagandists worried, with sleepless nights, and looking over their shoulders. Hopefully they will now be thinking of the possible consequences for what they are saying and doing.

Definitely! Blogging is a serious crime worth blowing up cafes for.

Nowt wrong with a Mosin-Nagant M1891. Still accurate (assuming the barrel hasn't been completely shot out) and deadly with a scope. Still uses the same ammunition (7.62x54R) as the Dragunov and the PKm.

I'm a bit conflicted on where I stand with that blogger being murdered tbh.

He obviously held and voiced some horrible opinions, I'm just not sure I can advocate for people being blown up in public places because of that.

The easiest way to explain it is I don't feel anything for his death, more so the way in which it was carried out.

It's no surprise it's happened though and it's not going to be the last of a similar nature.

Makes a good sniper rifle still. Simple to operate and maintain.
