I really hope this ends soon. Not just for all the lives involved, but for it's impact on us as well. War is hell.
Nobody involved wants this to drag on but it's important that it ends 'right' and we don't just end up with another frozen conflict as it ends up fostering resentment forever and people can't move on.

That's amazing hahaha

Depends how hated the head of state is, France never got any blowback for taking out Gaddafi as far as I recall.

No blowback?? Africa has been emptying into Europe from the day Colonel Ghadaffi was killed, precisely as he warned it would occur without his robust control over Libya. There's no European country free from the scourge of illegal migration and its political and financial upheaval.

No blowback indeed.

In reality the trend has been increasing at about the same rate over time - there is no surge change from Gaddafi being deposed or killed.

He was dropping hints about a submarine previously... that could be fun. Hopefully, some more maritime drones, more Neptune missiles and I guess perhaps if they do have a sub that may well be a drone too.

Maybe trying to keep Russia on edge/disrupt their activities because judging by the activities of US/NATO aircraft around the Black Sea region and chatter online Russia appears to be massing missile carriers for a likely larger wave of strikes in the near future.

EDIT: Interestingly claims, I assume from pro-Russians, that Russian fighters intercepted a US P-8 Poseidon over the Black Sea earlier and ordered it to leave - at least the one I was watching around that time, which was probably the only one, never left Romanian airspace - not even close to entering any Russian controlled air space.

Probably both... they had a big funding initiative a few months ago to raise money for more maritime drones... presumably similar to the ones they used on the raid on Sevastopol harbour.

I'm not ruling out both - the threat of such may be why Russia has moved a lot of ships away from moored positions, though I suspect more likely they are gearing up for another round of strikes once they've produced enough new missiles for it.

What happens if they blow up Russian ships with nukes on board
A ship would be on the bottom of the Black Sea with nukes still on board, if a nuclear device were to be hit there would be bits and peices of a nuke on the bottom of the Black Sea. Its not like it would blow up in a big nuclear explosion, thats not how they work, they need to be fired off in a very very specific way to create a proper fission/fusion reaction. I'd imagine Russia would be very peeved with not a lot they could really do. Maybe fire another barrage of missiles inaccurately.

Not a lot, Ukraine has weapons that can punch holes in the hull and could lead to a ship capsizing or sinking but not necessarily damage the nuclear warheads. If a ship did sink with nukes on it I suspect Russia/Ukraine/NATO would come to an arrangement to allow Russia to recover the nukes from the sunken vessel.

Nukes aren't like regular munitions which detonate if they catch on fire, to set off a nuke you need to create a chain reaction, the old atom bombs this was done by firing a small sphere of Uranium 235 which when fired (using a series of fuses and timers) hits the generator creating the fission reaction. Modern day nukes has two detonations, the first is a normal fission release but this used to trigger the second/main detonation detonate using nuclear fusion which is orders of magnitude more powerful and lighter (you don't needs as much fuel to get the same explosion). So it's very complicated to set off a nuke, the worst outcome is you damage the warhead and material leaks out which is still bad for local marine life but a leak into the sea does mean all the radioactive material eventually gets diluted down.

Western nukes are protected from accidental detonations by things like accelerometers and other arming / safety devices. Hopefully Russian nukes have the same protections. Primitive bombs (WW2 era) are a different matter.

That's true for H-bombs but not for purely fission weapons.
