Unfortunately it's not true, he's just inflating ukraine numbers so 1) Kremlin gives him more ammo and 2) when he loses he can say he was outnumbered
the latest leaks have indicated Ukraine's counter offensive force is only 40k to 50k. They simply don't have enough equipment for more units - just keep in mind that this 40k to 50k is not just infantry, they are y highly mobile units meant to blitz through enemy lines and they require a lot of equipment to create these units. I do expect that when the counter offensive happens, these blitz units will be supported by what units Ukraine already has on the front - I.e the Air Force running bombing raids and artillery units trying to soften the enemy positions

I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of 40-50k well armed Ukrainians. We have already seen what they can do on the ground without the amount of support that is currently pouring into Ukraine. Most people felt that Ukraine would fall within days at the beginning of the conflict. They now have battle hardened, western trained soldiers with very reliable western arms designed to fight a Russian army. It's not always about size as the Russians seems to think, in fact if anything it has been proven over the past year that throwing people into a meat grinder will only get you so far, maybe a few kilometres at best. Strategy, equipment and training will win this war.
Russia dropped a missile on a bridge in northern Ukraine near its border with Russia. This territory was liberated last year and there are no Russian troops there.
The only conclusion I can get from this is that the Russians are really scared that Ukraine might go over the border

Russia’s has many, many reforms over the years. It’s just unfortunate that they were all terrible ideas, implemented badly by corrupt officials and maniacs.
