Ukraine Invasion - Please do not post videos showing attacks/similar

There unfortunately isn't enough information for context, it is likely a mixture of reasons as it seems to have emptied out at first gradually then faster, some is likely to have been redeployed either out of easy range of Ukraine attacks or to defensive positions that Russia has been throwing up all over the last few weeks. As well as replacing losses and/or for use in Russian offensives, etc.

I suspect if a deal was put on the table that returned all Ukrainian territory apart from Crimea and saw the removal of all Russian troops from previously occupied areas along the boarder Zelensky would do the sensible thing and sign, being realistic Crimea is long gone.
Then its all for nothing tens of thousands dead for what? back to square one, not a snowballs chance in hell that's an acceptable deal.

I find it fascinating that firstly 300 elite troops were enough to capture the airport pretty deep in Ukrainian territory and that Russia thought 300 elite troops would be enough to keep it from counter attacks, great analysis though

Something that video does show quite distinctly is the value of being prepared, for foreseeable even if unlikely events, especially when it comes to supplies of ammo. With a little more preparation and supplies those relatively ad hoc defenders could have decisively denied Russia that airport.

Decently produced video with a lot of detail and support of video footage of the actual events.

Zelensky is still insisting that any deal must include the return of all Ukrainian territory, including Crimea. But realistically, I can't see how he can maintain this position unless he's expelled Russia from everywhere else. Right now he just doesn't have the leverage.

Well he has to say that publicly doesn't he?

He'd lose support internally for zero gain and serve Russia the justification to ask for more.

He does have the leverage right now and will keep it providing the offensive coming in the next couple of weeks is successful, if it stalls and doesn't recapture much ground to put Crimea under threat, then questions will start to be asked and I wonder how much the West will want to support a complete recapture given it could turn into a slow war of attrition over many years where I don't think the West has as much appetite to feed into vs Russia who will be quite happy to grind it out as they have been already.

Stuff like this is messed up as well and highlights some problems regarding NATO supplying Ukraine, whilst also having member states actively dealing with Russia in sectors that have yet been sanctioned because bringing sanctions would make things difficult

There are quite a few nuclear reactors dependant on Russia for stuff - IIRC the Czech Republic (might have that wrong but it is around that area) have a power plant they need Russian support to operate.

'Unspecified area' I take that as they don't know but I guess it's possible there all tucked away somewhere else for now (given the amount that seems quite a feet to move all that gear unnoticed) but good luck defending Crimea without any armour.

It didn't happen overnight - through the early part of this year up to the middle of March it was draining down gradually then the rest went relatively quickly between then and now. I suspect some will have been moved due to how publicised that location has become due to being included in several videos, etc. over the last few months.

NATO isn't at war with Russia, NATO isn't supplying Ukraine, individual states within NATO are.

Turkey has supplied Ukraine with drones and vehicles among other aid

Besides
Russia says we are at war, so...
This, or at least that's what high level Russian officials like Medvedev, Labrov and Solovyev and his ilk keep spouting on their Russian propaganda

Not for nothing it would maintain Ukrainian independence and actually represent a significant territorial gain over the pre war position when Russian back separatists controlled large areas along the boarder as well as Crimea being fully annexed

He has to say that, there will always be concessions at the negotiating table and he would be crazy to give Crimea away too soon.

Video of a Ukrainian S-300 system hit by Lancets - I don't understand why so often these things are moved/positioned without something like a Gepard, Shilka, etc. providing active defence against drones and loitering munitions.

Was going to say maybe it's a decoy but you can see a loaded missile inside one of the tubes that looks like it has been attacked before
