Video on the point I mentioned here earlier about air defence running out for Ukraine.

Also interesting that potentially Wagner could be linked up to the gold reserves in Sudan depending on outcome.

Ukraine should be given the weapons to destroy the black sea fleet it's time it was removed.

Along with longe range weapons to strike military sites in Russia.
100% agree, this war would never have happened if the west (specifically the Obama administration) had not talked Ukraine into scrapping it's long range weapons and supporting infrastructure in order to score points with Putin.

Whilst in hindsight its a huge mistake. At the time it was likely a noble idea. Baring in mind at the time, outwardly facing, Russia seemed to be coming in from the cold. Yes it had its issues like all post soviet states Ukraine included. probably seemed like a great idea for the west to have such powerful/dangerous platforms/weaponry less proliferated. Sadly, Russia had other idea in the background.
In the early 00's - early 10's this type of conflict just didnt seem likely. Just a shame we (Collective West) didnt act sooner. We had our own priorities and were coming out of decades long fighting ourselves, so I suppose the political appetite just wasnt there.

Seems that sadly Ukraine are running out / going to run out of medium air defence systems very soon. Seems west have slept on this one could be costly with all these missiles being launched by Russia :(
Sadly the missiles aren't really the main problem with Ukraine running low.

Russia have nearly 2000 combined bomber/attack capable aircraft, obviously they wouldn't use them all against Ukraine (well, at least they shouldn't, can never predict Russian military incompetence) but if Ukraine run out or even dangerously low on AA missiles these would come into play.

This obviously isn't something Ukraine want as their air force would be completely overwhelmed (this is the reason they spent 2014-2022 frantically beefing up their AA defences) so we will know when they're starting to run low as the amount of missiles getting through will start to rise significantly as they have to hold onto the AA missiles for taking out planes.

How close was your prediction? Honestly don't know why people write crap like that.

Wasn't his prediction - was being talked about by OSINT sources - seems to be a lot of confusion. There was around 20-25 aircraft up from 2 airbases but I suspect over half of that may have been escorts or unrelated which just happened to be coming or going at the same time - but each was being counted as a strategic bomber for some reason.

In the end seems each bomber only launched 1-2 actual missiles. Some of the information seems a bit odd - the first take-offs were several hours before they usually go for strikes, not sure the purpose possibly it was a chaotically ran operation.

I wonder if the Russians were trying to do something sneaky. Giving the impression of a massive strike incoming so the Ukrainians turn on all their Air defence radars so they can be mapped and targeted for future strikes perhaps. Although I would assume that most of them would have relocated by now. Maybe they looking for gaps in air defence radar coverage that can be exploited later. Leaving their transponders on suggests that they wanted to be seen and wanted some form of a reaction.

They didn't leave transponders on, that was a mistake someone made. People were reporting seeing/hearing take-offs.

Interestingly they fired about 2 months production worth of these missiles (at pre-war production rate) at about a 2 month gap suggesting they really have exhausted their stockpiles now.

AFAIK that isn't specific to Bakhmut but is US estimates of Russian deaths and casualties in general since December. Obvs many of those likely were in Bakhmut and apparently they're attributing half of the deaths to Wagner troops.
