He will never be reported on russian tv. He is no one. He cannot become more popular than Puten. Majority of russians watch tv and he is only being spread on the interwebs.

No one said anything about TV tho... you're missing the point massively here, this has already spread via telegram and they're not going to be able to keep it quiet for long regardless of whatever orders are given to state TV broadcasters. Word still travels via phone, text etc.. you don't need to be on telegram to receive news from it.

If they're having to shut down parts of Moscow in response you can be pretty sure this story will spread anyway.

It doesn't feel like enough is going down for this to be really a big deal yet, seen the odd vehicle like that Rostov set of images.

Wagner troops are largely in Ukraine still afaik, if they wanted to attack Moscow they'd have quite a drive.

Smoke & mirrors maybe?

Well I think its safe to say I stand corrected... It appears Putin definitely taking this situation seriously!

I guess it depends on what Putin has been told. If Shoigu has been telling porkies to Putin and inflating the situation, he might be thinking the situation is much worse than it is.

To what end... people often throw out things like "false flag" "psyop" etc.. in response to stuff but it's a bit empty without something compelling.

Ukraine aren't likely to fall for anything here, they're going to base their decisions on what is actually happening on the ground. What good does fooling the civilian population in Russia and the rest of the world do?

I mean Putin's press secretary has commented on it too... do you expect them to turn around tomorrow and be like "LOL it was all smoke and mirrors?" What would they have achieved from that?
 
There is a possibility that the MOD has fabricated the whole thing to push Putin out themselves I suppose.

Still think it's all a big scam tbh.

I have no idea but this whole thing is very odd.

There has been precious little actual evidence of much going on though.

Well, I don't think the attack on the camp looks particularly convincing, (some fires etc.. being set, that could serve as an excuse) but the conflict between Wagner boss and Russian ?MOD boss seems very real, he's been directing more and more rage at Shoigu for days now.
