So basically shoot anyone immediately that doesn't seem to be a putinist.. so that's going to end well as the people will end up using any excuse to shoot people to show they themselves are more Putinist than the other..

They should simply drone in a set of single shot duelling pistols into the Durma and the last 5 are the winners..

Yes, but Prigozhin has already publicly rubbished Putin's justification for starting the war (that the Ukrainian government are Nazis allied with NATO who were about to launch an attack against Crimea and the Russian occupied Donbass). If Prigozhin wipes out the senior Generals then Putin will become vulnerable as it looks like he was upstaged, even if he declares later that Shoigu and Gerasimov were incompetent and deserved it. If he cannot protect the senior Generals who are just following his orders then their colleagues might decide they could be next and eliminate him first.

I can't get believe this theory personally. It's too elaborate. They would just withdraw and come up with some statements, not fake a coup.
 
Putin won't go quietly we all know that, Prigozhin has nothing to lose and even if Putin extends some kind of olive branch during this confrontation it's not something that can be trusted anyways. I reckon this ends bloody for one of them. Unless this is some stupid Russian 4D chess ********, it's all a ruse and they've strapped a tactical nuclear warhead to one of those KGB trained dolphins and its headed through the North Sea right now. I mean these days its hardly outside the realms of possibility. /shrug.

He only need to get rid of the real Putin. He could use one of the stunt doubles afterwards.

This is starting to sound like the Russian Military has had enough of being blamed for Putin's poor judgement.
 
P’s mutiny relies on enough of the Russian army joining in. I can’t see how they would have enough ammo and resources to march 20k men into Moscow without it.

It’ll also take a day of so for any breakdown in the chain of command to take effect. Atm the only order Russians need is ‘shoot anything that comes at you from that direction until you hear otherwise’

Civil war in Russia. Like every civil war in Russia's past it's bloody and the civilians and innocent end up on the receiving end.

Maybe not on initial overall numbers, but the cumulative effect of each Russian army group laying down arms rather than being killed will mount up.

Depends how many oppose them, and how many Russian army resources are actually available inside Russia. Most would be committed to Ukraine or other volatile regions.

Plus, they've now taken over command of numberous Russian army bases, their combined fighting resources has now increased dramatically.

Take it from russian bases as they go. Or maybe Ukraine will supply them.
