That German report has got to be right about ingrained doctrine in the higher levels of the Ukrainian military.

Another video of a Ukrainian armoured thrust getting decimated by what seems to be a drone a lone tank going balls out and a few RPGs on rcombatfootage.

Got to be zero recon / drones helping scout ahead during assaults.

Madness.

Really need to sort this out, I hope to god the MoD are taking note of the importance of real time drone recon.

Reporter asks Putin what his plans are with Ukraine after Russia wins. Putin replies by telling the reporter not to get ahead of himself and that he himself could not yet visualise victory.

Here are some other gems from Putin's mouth:

"we withdrew from kyiv because the ukranians asked us to"

"We're unable to stop the special military operation because they keep shooting at us"

One of Putin's motivations for this war is he can't prevent the emerging Ukrainian identity showing up his regime due to the links between the countries no amount of TV propaganda, etc. can shut that off, ultimately threatening his position, hence tries to identify Ukraine's identity as neo-Nazism... it suits him fine to drag the war out as keeping Ukraine in a state of turmoil prevents it from becoming a more developed country than Russia.

Then works in a bit about how Ukraine is being used as a tool to fight Russia, I think we'll see more on that theme in the weeks to come.

Also interesting just how detached and out of touch he seems with the actual war.

The 200_zoka Twitter account is dead. The pro Russian and Pro Assad who famously asked what air defence doing

The guy was doxxed and like many pro Russians he didn't live in Russia. He worked in a Serbian hospital and after he was doxxed the hospital fired him and he shut down his Twitter account

Jamming an explosive drone in a residential area probably not the best thing to do?
Funny I argue with some pro Russians on a footy forum and they blame all Ukrainian civilian casualties on Ukrainian air defence taking out the missiles out over residential areas instead of elsewhere or letting them hit the target to save civilians...

Wonder what crazy view they have on this

Well at least they might have some realisation of what they've done to Ukrainian cities pretty much every day for the last 500/600 days, I have zero sympathy for them at this point.

Living in fear.

And so it begins.

Russia's manipulation of the people will see that as an escalation and will start galvanising support. It's like doodlebugs in WW2 all over again. The dumber the weapons at this point (a) the easier it is to produce and the larger the payload can be and (b) the less effective the electronic defences, but (c) the less accurate it becomes (and collateral damage) and resulting support of the people to resist.

What was a mistake is that russia said their electronic warfare basically caused it to malefunction. (a) it means they can't defend against it properly (extra shielding = additional weight) and (b) they prioritise the government over the people. Ukraine simply need to lock out the electronics once the the drone gets to a perimeter by having a one-way switch that shorts the control signal to ground. It can cut the engine and after that it's simply gliding in. That stop of sound then increases fear.

Ukraine sees this a **** you response. It also keeps air defence in Moscow.
