Special forces must have been involved you'd expect, seems to be a very 'bespoke' target otherwise. I think we're yet to here all the details on this yet
The building itself has probably been zeroed in for years, and even individual rooms were probably well known.

About "all" you'd need to get a nice hit on it is an accurate missile with the range/final stage targeting and some idea of when the meeting is taking place, especially if the Russians were using the same room repeatedly at set times for things like a regular briefing.
Remember this is a building that has been around for a long time and it's likely the Ukrainians had plans for it so if they knew the room and time then it's a matter of getting the missile fired to allow for travel.

I wouldn't be surprised if they knew when the meeting was either from an informer, defector, hacked device*, or even just knowing the habits of the staff with the help of say a partisan who passed information on, or even just someone monitoring hacked CCTV cameras from the surrounding area (if you know someone's job, and their transport you can build a pattern up nicely).

It's a great target in terms of at the very least making it clear to the Russians that nowhere inside the range of the Ukrainian weapons is safe, no matter how good their air defence is in theory.

*I remember a few years back when it turned out the fitbits that IIRC the US army (or some of it's people) were using to help track their fitness could be used to very nicely map the layout of bases and likely uses of the rooms because the devices logged where you were and when, so as you walked around it could create the routes.

Haven't been following too hard lately but with the silence coming from the Kremlin and lack of the usual regurgitations of Russian agitpop makes one think they're really ******* angry.

It's also curious that this possibly dead admiral headed the Naval Academy in St Petersburg prior to this 'promotion', could well be part of the inner circle if he was given a job in Putin's favourite city.

You’re right and Russia doesn’t really have an answer at the moment other than to hit a few more civilian targets. Hopefully Ukraine can keep grinding them down like this.

It was Strava, can also be used to find where users live. Eventually strava allowed you hide start and end of activities and for governments to block regions such as bases. But that is just 1 app, Garmin doesn't do anything and you can view the activity heatmaps

Should be good for the best part of 1 million each, I hope we can make upgrades though since Russia will likely get better at shooting them down

Yeah because they have been trying to shoot them down for how long now? and still only get lucky now and again..
How much do you think a few S-400 missiles cost?
