Russians being Russian.
Sanctions on Swiss banks now
Not sure if anyone has commented on it but what people seem to be missing, North Korea has a large number of these guns so probably able to produce ammo for it. China can also build them and the ammo so may support NK in turn supporting Russia.
They were also in widespread use until the 2010s by various militaries around the world and I believe Ukraine is also using some in this war.
The numbers are staggering.
Estimated Pre War Artillery Canons Russia held in storage
Self Propelled Artillery - 4,450 guns
Towed Artillery - 14,631
Russia has burnt through 1/3rd of its SPG's and just over half of it's towed.
I am concerned that this attrition rate can only be sustained by the Kremlin concluding their only option for political survival is to fully gear up a war economy which the rest of Europe doesn't seem to be too concerned about considering the laughable state of most of it's major militaries.
They are already apparently spending up to 40% GDP on the war which is crazy. I say full your boots Vlad. It's unlikely they can spend their way to a material increase on what we have seen from Russia so far and whilst sanctions haven't crippled the general economy I suspect the the technology required for modern weaponry is difficult to procure in volume.I am concerned that this attrition rate can only be sustained by the Kremlin concluding their only option for political survival is to fully gear up a war economy which the rest of Europe doesn't seem to be too concerned about considering the laughable state of most of it's major militaries.
Someone leaking their rivals meal plans to the Ukrainians again.

He's eating away at the reserves and may only have another 10 months before they are exhausted. I'm optimistic still that Ukraine can continue to inflict strategic losses on the enemy. The aircraft could be a significant moment for Ukraine and they aren't far away.
At the rate they are attriting the kit production cannot keep up. Perun's latest video on the matter is very revealing. There has to be an inflection point coming, there is only so far existing stockpiles will last before they have to double-down on manufacturing, etc. or find another path. On paper they can continue to produce base spec versions of their tanks and aircraft, etc. just lacking some modern features.
