Imagine if trump Is President and as Putin cross into the baltics, Trump refuses to help, essentially destroying article 5. In this scenario does the rest of NATO collapse overnight and every country fights only for themselves or does the rest deploy to fight Russia?

The worst part is all Trump needs to do is shut up and that scenario never happens.

A half-credible alternative to Putin removed from the March ballot. I think the only follow up question is tea or window. It just shows how desperate Putin is that he's taking out any possible chance of getting less than 100% of the votes.

It’s congress rather than Trump that makes that decision. However it would depend how much power he has in both houses to stop it.

You are putting a lot of faith in article 5, but a lot of commentary I'm reading is pointing out that being a political statement, as usual it's rather wooly and if the crunch time comes any response might not be what is envisaged under the general assumption of what A5 meant.

If that’s really the case, any country bordering Russia needs to get a nuclear weapons capability PDQ.

I’d image it goes something along the line of, Putin is just misunderstood and I’m the only person who knows the real truth so please listen as I string you along and frame this unjust invasion in the most egregious way.

PS Russian frogs aren’t gay.

I think his point was that there won't be one, because Tucker Carlson won't be allowed to interview the opposition to Putin, and he probably wouldn't anyway even if he was allowed to, as he's Putin's *****.

One single question needs to put to Putin and that’s, when are you going to withdraw from Ukraine? You could add knobhead or possibly sunshine to the end for dramatic effect ot to cement your place in media history.

Yes but the point I have made repeatedly and been called a russian troll for....is that the Americans just do not care! They have cheap access to energy, have huge natural protection (oceans), a very strong internal economy etc. They are quite happy to let things fall by the wayside. And yes I have no doubt trump is unpredictable but let's be honest They have never been particularly reliable. Think Kissinger summed it up pretty well....

So thus this conflict which was started by the Russians who clearly do not place the same value on life and morality....should be looked at with a view of protecting Europe. If that means actually negotiating a treaty or being euro centric and preparing for war (Though with von de Leyen track record with the bundeswehr i think everyone would be ******) it should be done with a European (not EU) out look and not American. As we are the ones that will suffer escalation not the Americans.

How many times is this now? You can’t negotiate with Russia in its current state... honestly your solution is beyond stupid at this point.
