Sounds like no one will be left soon, there's a 59 year old in that video and they can be drafted until 60

wonder what they are loosening the forced conscription to next then 65? 70?

One of the problems Ukraine has is all of the teenagers who left as refugees two years ago. If they won't come back to fight, that's a problem.

To be fair, I don't know whether they are returning or not.

Yea, doesn't really feel like he's asking the questions and they would have been pre screened anyway.

No doubt Russia were in full control of everything and only allowed what they perceive as advantageous propaganda.

Just a tool being used to reach a larger audience, since RT is probably still banned in the west

Absolutely.

Really you would hope this much was obvious.

But these are funny old times!

It's amazing how all the anti war candidates for the Russian election have been banned from standing against Putin and the excuse for every ban has been "paperwork irregularities". And if instead they didn't get banned they'd still end up in jail anyway because it's illegal to be anti war right now in Russia so if you campaign on that the Kremlin will get the police to arrest you. There is so many ways to skin a cat in Russia, there is just no way someone can actually stand against Putin in an election and have different ideas to Putin due to all the ways they have for filtering out people

the Kremlin will only let candidates stand who basically have the same policies and ideas as Putin because then people will just vote Putin anyway since every candidate says the same thing you go with who you know. All candidates who say different things and have different ideas to Putin are banned from the elections or in jail

Under funded?? How? Ukraine should / are grateful for the amount of military aid we have given them, without it, they wouldn’t of lasted longer than 3 months in my opinion

I said right now which it is because the funds havnt come through from the USA since December and currently held up.

Of course USA has been very generous but this aid has to keep flowing not being held up it costing lives.

Mosley's party was banned during WW2, this is no different.

The Putin interview is out https://tuckercarlson.com/the-vladimir-putin-interview/

Time stamps for all the questions are below the video, scroll down

The problem with this is the omission of the other side of the story - Putin acting wounded over things, which themselves were a response to Russian actions.

In the present day for illustration Russia still regularly probes foreign air space with nuclear capable strategic bombers, when NATO hasn't done that regularly in decades using unarmed ISR aircraft instead, although since the situation with Ukraine some missions with B-52s have been flown more provocatively, likely as a reminder to Russia.

Watching this and Putin is mad as a hatter. That said I think Carlson's questions have been fair. Takeaway from this is Putin is asking the Americans to contact him to negotiate a solution

The interview;

One take away from the interview, if Putin himself believes most of what he is saying, regardless of whether he is right or wrong, taking things to their natural conclusion doesn't go to a good place, he has no choice but to double down even if it takes things to a world war.

Apparently the new one was in charge of Bakhmut though I don't follow who leads that much to know. But people were saying he made a mess of that so the change dosnt seem to good.
Syrskyi is more than capable, he was in charge at the battle of Kyiv at a time when all of Ukraine's best and most experienced units were in the east. He cobbled together a fighting force made up of a patch work of ad-hoc units (national guard, reservists, citizen militia, volunteers and a handful of naval and territorial battalions) and successfully defended the city inflicting heavy losses on the Russian's including the Russian's primary spearhead the 1st Guards Tank Army (during the cold war this unit would have been the first into battle against any NATO army). He also the one who saw the opportunity to counter attack in Kharkiv and took it.

As an outsider who's been watching all this unfold since 2014 I look at Zaluzhnyi and see a man who is visionary, wants nothing but the best for his men and wants them trained as a NATO army. He's very popular and I can see why, he's well spoken, articulate, well read, forward thinking, cares for the men in his command but for as well has he's done in the last 2 years it's not been without some very significant setbacks some of which were his own making. The biggest black mark on his record was the defence of the south or lack there of, Russia to gobble up huge chunks of Ukrainian territory and cross the Dinpro very almost no resistance, the Russian army probably would have gone on taken Odesa in March/April had it not been for the bravery of the locals around Mykolaiv. So many unanswered questions on that whole episode like why weren't the bridges linking Crimea to the mainland set with explosives in case the Russian's attacked, such an obvious think to do but it wasn't done. Add in the failed counter offensive and now Ukraine is on the back foot again now is probably a good time for a change.

Though I'm not sure how much is related to Zaluzhnyi but the south was a real shambles which has probably enabled things to go as far as they have, one of the few areas some officials were in Russia's pockets and managed to delay or frustrate efforts to oppose Russia. (I can't remember the name/title now but the official who was supposed to be in charge of raising reserve forces basically just had everyone running around in circles while making sure weapons were kept locked up, etc.).

Though Russian forces from the south were also those most composed of regular forces, despite being less composed of elite units, unlike the north and east they had far less recently mobilised, essentially conscripted, soldiers or fleshed out with Rosgvardia, etc.
