Rroff there has been plenty of confirmation, please open your eyes here, there is footage, I just liked to it, there is confirmation from world leaders... Why do you think all the planes have disappeared too?

Statement from the US president:

I don't think you are understanding what I'm saying.

(I spent most of the night for instance commenting on the planes disappearing and why...)

I don't think you are understanding what I'm saying.

What are you trying to say then? What confirmation do you need now - the US president has confirmed it, there is video footage of Kharkiv and Mariupol being attacked? What are you looking for here?

A full battle damage assessment? You'll have to wait till afterward... this is ongoing. Also fears of a potential amphibious invasion.

He has threatened it.

But I'm not sure it is something one declares rather than just does.

Threatened it yes, possibly. But the statement "he has just declared nuclear war on the world" simply isnt factually accurate then is it. Its hyperbole.

Now dont get me wrong, I am actually in agreement with minusorange that we should be involved militarily in support of Ukraine, in some fashion. But I think immediately escalating things to nuclear weapons being fired is not good for anyone and shouldnt be leapt at. Its almost like there are some people on this forum who actually want a nuclear war, maybe thats a being edgy on the net 2022 thing or something I dont know, but every action we take should be in avoidance of nuclear war, not immediately firing them or assuming that nuclear weapons being used are an inevitability.

I mean what has actually happened - and where these strikes actually occurred - there is a lot of talk and noise but beyond the fact there have been a few explosions, mostly quite distant ones, there doesn't seem to be much actual confirmation of the details.

Rroff it has started all around Ukraine. while they have an emergency UN meeting... says a lot about Russia really.

Fortunately you're not in charge, seems the US are taking the threat seriously

Oh I absolutely agree with you, thank goodness I am not in charge, I do not have what it takes to run a country in peacetime (and I will never ever pretend that I could or think that I could do it better than the people who do) let alone a country at war. I'm just an average guy, not a political, financial or military strategist. I struggle to have one persons life or death depend on my decisions , nevermind having millions of peoples lives depend on my decisions, thats definitely not a responsibility that I want and respects to those who do shoulder that.

Ukraine should have just agreed to not join Nato at any point in the future. This military operation could have been avoided and the training exercise would have remained just that.

Yeah right - Putin has been decided on whatever course of action long ago - everything else has just been a charade.
