LOL as if those were the real issues here... If you believe he felt threatened by the build up of NATO forces (there were a grand total of 4 battle groups sent to the Balkans after 2014 to try to deter any little green men - Russia in recent days surrounded Ukraine with like 120+ battel groups!) I have a bridge to sell you!

Thats your opinion, you dont know it as fact. Not addressing his concerns has led to war but hey we didnt bow to him ..

Indeed. He’s using it as an excuse to bring back the Russian empire to placate the Russian people and maintain his power and wealth.

The only thing that will stop him is death.

His concerns were impossible to resolve because it depended on NATO effectively abandoning half of it's members.

I'll add that said demand was likely an oversell and he'd have been happy with just no further eastern expansion, but I'd still say that giving Russia the win of formally blocking a voluntary organisation from allowing new members would be ridiculous for many reasons and would not guarantee that Russia won't just exploit it further.

Question is whether this is a limited "special operation" - which is obviously far wider scale than Putin's talk of being contained to the breakaway areas - or the start of a bigger scale war.

If it is intended as deterrent strikes that opens a whole political minefield.

It's not he's said this a demilitarization of Ukraine, that means the whole of Ukraine needs to be dearmed


At least Joe is awake and Zelensky hasn't been captured
