Totally, they cant beat russia conventionally, guerilla warfare will be the way, either way we all pray for themGod help them. I hope the West actually realises now that Putin is determined to turn the clock back over 30 years and effectively restart the Soviet Union. He won’t stop at the Ukraine either, the Baltic states will be bricking it right now.
Sad times indeed.
So world war 3 has begun?
So world war 3 has begun?
I am asking neither that Germany be allowed to oppress three and a half million Frenchmen, nor am I asking that three and a half million Englishmen be placed at our mercy. Rather I am simply demanding that the oppression of three and a half million Germans in Czechoslovakia cease and that the inalienable right to self-determination take its place. — Adolf Hitler's speech at the NSDAP Congress 1938
So when do we expect the the West to respond?
Don't want to miss it.
Time for NATO to step up and start spending again and to admit any nations that want in.
As usual the west will present some half hearted response. Putin knows he can do whatever he wants and NATO won’t confront him.
If Russia starts to initiate cyber attacks against Western governments, entities and institutions then wouldn't that be classed as an escalation and an act of war against NATO countries?

Russian marines have landed on Odessa? thats close to Romania!!! is this confirmed?
Yeah I don't get it. Surely the best case scenario is Russia ends up occupying a country with a nasty insurgency on its hands while sanctioned by every Western state, and a large increase in NATO spending with more troops deployed on its doorstep. Worst case being that they don't manage to steamroll Ukraine, end up in a long and bloody war, possibly with direct intervention on Ukraine's side by another country, lose the Crimea and Eastern Ukraine regions, AND they get sanctioned and NATO spending and deployments increase. Illogical ideology seems like the only explanation.I’m still trying to figure it out as well. The risks/costs rewards don’t seem to fully add up. Which just shows how illogical and ideological this move seems to be.
