Verified? you want me to verify some ukranian resident filming a missile go over his head, or footage of tanks or explosions that are happening rn? lol ok.
If it was that simple they would have done it.
It isnt like you're the first person to think "wait hang on, if Ukraine was part of Nato, Russia couldn't attack them without losing badly!"
There is nothing "genius" about what Putin has done. The west clearly knew it was coming. Even a Russian politician said back in December that this would happen. He even said it would be at 4am on the 22nd Feb!! It was 4am on the 24th, bit I guess it may have been pushed back for logistical/weather reasons maybe. Russia have been planning this for ages and the Western intelligence agencies know it.
He's just made a despicable decision, not a genius one. That is all.

You can use more credible sources, where the original video has been verified in some way or another.

I need to stop reading this thread. I'm way too worried as it is about this escalating, all this talk of nuclear war being likely and Putin not stopping at Ukraine is doing me no favours
It is incredibly unlikely to escalate beyond Ukraine in the near future.

Pretty much this. Putin knows all that NATO and the West can do is make noise and impose sanctions that don't affect him personally. There is no chance of him being voted out of power etc.
Once he annexed Crimea, the Ukrainian people, who were by and large previously ambivalent about joining nature were now in a majority for joining it.
Once Putin's demands of NATO stating that Ukraine could never be allowed to join was rejected, (which was never going to happen) then this day was almost inevitable.

I think everyone is concerned but no one wants this, especially the Russians. The west is trying to avoid it at all costs. There would be NO winners. To be honest, this current scenario sees no winners either. Putin has crossed a line.
Or just stop posting obvious russian propaganda
