Well they might not have done well re: the bridges to Crimea, still gobsmacked that Russian tanks could seemingly just cross, unopposed, single file... But they've at least DF'd that airport the Russian airborne forces seized north of Kyiv:
I wonder if they're going to be cut off there, unless some Russian armour reaches them in time? Can't exactly reinforce them well if Ukrainian artillery has put big holes in the runway and the troops brought in by helicopter don't exactly have combat engineering tractors to carry out rapid repairs to the runway either... Seems like they lost 10% of the helicopters taking the runway too, go back with more troops via helicopter and lose another 10% in the process?
They're going to need Russian armour to break through to their location ASAP or those Russian troops we saw filmed on CNN are going to be killed or captured fairly soon.

Hate it when people try to tell you what language to use. It's the same as the pronouns thing. Nobody means offence by saying Kiev, everyone needs to chill out about it.Ukrainians really don't like it when you write it 'Kiev', it is Kyiv.
Also, Clive Myrie on the BBC News is one of the few that actually pronounces it correctly. Kiev is from the Russian Language, Kyiv is from the Ukrainian. Another reason that Putin told himself enough is enough.
Not long I suspect. Putin goes on about provocation, but he is the one provoking them into dropping their more neutral stance.
It's about trying to strike a balance. Weak sanctions are pointless.
This is more like it.
I suspect Finland will sit quiet and avoid rocking the boat for fear of annexation Russia is a little to close for comfort and if Putin goes as far as Sweden then the third world war will already have started so NATO membership won't really matter.

Though if Ukrainian artillery has done the job well this will have to be a parachute drop, the runway should be unusable. Still quite risky for the Russians unless some armour can get through, they're super close to Kyiv and cut off.

They have been given some of the best shoulder launchers in the world, however they are unable to reach that far up, as far as i know.
Finland are a member state of the EU though, it seems unlikely the EU/world in general would sit and watch as Russia annexed them. Russia didn't have a great time the last time they invaded Finland either. Who knows though.
