It’s actually insane for anyone objectively observing this situation right now. The influence on the gop is obvious, the grifting stands out, but how spineless are they… is just.. wow. They are blocking every bill at this point, it doesn’t matter how well written they are.
It could be a border bill written exactly as the republicans wanted it but it will be rejected because they don’t want to give Biden anything.

They are literal traitors to the American people. They are setting the west up for failure. We already appear weak with this crap, the maga Americans don’t seem to remember why America has had dominance for decades when making statements about how they shouldn’t be the world police and leaving nato lmao.

The commander of Russia’s Black Sea Fleet has been sacked after Ukraine said it had destroyed another Russian warship, according to unconfirmed reports by pro-war bloggers.

Ukrainian military intelligence said Wednesday its naval drones attacked and sank the Caesar Kunikov landing ship off the coast of the Moscow-annexed Crimean peninsula.

Rybar, an influential Telegram channel with 1.2 million subscribers, reported that Viktor Sokolov has been removed as Black Sea Fleet commander and replaced by an unidentified chief of staff.

He did actually change his tune on that and said Ukraine's Borders should be as defined in 1991.

Putin has Russia on a path to a embarrassing and total military failure. The facade of the mighty Russian war machine has been striped away by the Ukrainians for everyone, but the Russian people to see. Putin has begged the west to let him have Ukraine and been refused. Once the Russian people become aware of the situation, the Kremlin’s game is up. Russia has a choice, head back to the dark ages with their beloved Zar, one of, if not the richest men in the world, or overthrow him.

Completely true, but Europe seems to duck a lot of criticism which is also due. There's no reason that Europe couldn't collectively supply enough financial and military aid to Ukraine to significantly improve their position regardless of what the USA does.

The USA might have the deepest pockets and biggest military reserves, but we're two years in now and military production in Europe could have been massively increased by now (sure it's increased, but nowhere near full potential) if there was political will, as well as supplying more existing stock.

America is the dominant Western power and has reaped huge benefits from the current / recent order of things, but that doesn't mean Europe is obliged to stand by like a wet tea towel.

Europe (and I include the UK in that) is failing in similar ways to America imo, just not quite as dramatically / transparently as the Republicans are (and to a lesser extent the Democrats too).
