I wasn't condemning all Chinese manufacturing, far from it. But the Chinese market does have a lot of players of variable (aka lottery) output quality. It has lots of companies making low-end goods on a tight budget. That's just life.I'm aware that Corsair didnt make the PSU. But I'm listing a model name to tell people what I own.
The OEM for my model is Greatwall btw not CWT. The link you provided rates the model highly.
Jonnyguru tested the 750w and 850w models of this psu, both made by greatwall, and gave them glowing reviews. I based my purchasing decision on this and the price at the time. I don't think being chinese made has hurt the tx-m series.
I'm swaying this way toordered the Aorus. Tired of faffing about.
Just the metal shroud around the heatsink. It's a tough one because there s now 3 cards all around the same price point. The aorus seems to get good reviews but a bit flimsy I believe. Coming from a 780ti I'm sure il be happy with any really
Each to their own....but old gen I'd just go with the cheapest personally. The Giga one is £50 cheaper than the Aorus. Note that threre's a sub £700 2080 available too.It might be fugly but there's a part of me thinking an extra £70 to get that is better value than £630 Aorus.I'm swaying this way to
1080Ti's are fetching as little as £300 used now

You're also rewarding nvidia's pricing scheme by paying £630 for a last gen GPU based on 2.5 year old technology. £70 is nothing. Giga card is better priced tho.I don't see any difference between a 2080 (which is really a 2070 imo) and a 1080ti. 2% isn't worth £70. And I don't think we should be rewarding Nvidia's pricing scheme.

That MSI is one of the nicest cards I have owned. Not the best for aesthetics but build quality, noise and performance. I want mine back now, as trying to game at 3440x1440 on this 290X is meh

the Strix will probably be more considering their 2080 is only £99 cheaper than an FE Ti.Just seen a 2070 priced at £699.
lol.
Je ne regrette rien.
