Unai says goodbye, Mikel says hello

Wish Spurs could get this level of failure :D

By United standards they failed. Apart from Chelsea and Man city, the rest of us would take it.

For what its worth, I reckon with Mourinho in charge it's just a matter of time before you win something. He is a serial winner.

Liverpool and City have caught up with them, in the same way that Arsenal and Man U dominated the 90's and 00's and other teams couldn't get a look in. Fergie didn't exactly leave with an amazing squad to take over, and the crushing weight of expectation has probably caused more problems.

Yet Man United won the Premiership and had the top goalscorer in Fergies last season. What he was a master at was assessing his squad and getting in what he needed.

The expectations had to change almost as soon as he left, because he was such a force. No one could match his record.

Rafa isn't that great, he's had so many clubs now and doesn't exactly set the world on fire.

Yep looks like Rodgers isn't gonna happen. And Allegri has said he won't be returning to work until the summer. We cannot wait that long.

Yeah I know it's not gonna happen, it would be great to get a no nonsense coach like him in though. Our defence has been so poor for so long I want someone who is gonna shout at them a lot.

Yes, he also won 2 La Liga's in 3 seasons with a side that wasn't Real or Barca. How long has it been since that happened before or will happen again?

I don't remember Liverpool having a serious title challenge until that season with Sterling and Suarez. But my memory isn't great lately.

I guess Athletico Madrid must be the last. And the most likely to again. There was a period in Spain where a few teams challenged. I remember when Depo won it. That was an impressive achievement, they played great football.

I was thinking the same, I mean anyone could be made to look good coaching at Man City. Are your owners just hoping to get Man City reserve players on loan through his contacts at the club? :p

Maybe if we get relegated. :p

For some reason a lot of people think Arteta has the makings of a great manager. Ex players, current players and journalists all think the same.

The owners probably just think an ex player will be given more time. And that keeps the heat off them for a while. Not that Kroenke cares that much, he's never over here.

I just want some decent defenders and some midfielders that know how to close down players. Attacking wise we are ok with Aubameyang, Lacazette and Martinelli.

If Arteta can make us hard to beat and not be such a soft touch, he will win over the fans.
