Bans are too harsh imo, suspensions would be better, on forums i manage i only ban if its a spam bot or a real trouble maker who wont behave.

You do realise that in a Forum about birds you post in a thread "Remember, posting "duck" is not allowed" and people start to ask why, ducks are birds after all, after which you ban Neil for mentioning a duck.

The thing is, we wouldn't be here if we didn't love OcUK. I just don't see why *some* mods are being so childish

So he was banned for talking about a competitor we weren't told we couldn't talk about at the time, just some vauge notion that said DD was fine but hardware wasn't with amazon falling in the DD category in the terms he was using it you can easily see the issue.

an issue that will rear it's head again and again as new people don't knwo the rule as it's not stated and is very counter intuitive compared to the others which are allowed.

Yar, Neil is a good guy, PC gaming section would be missing a lot without him, especially for such a blurry thing.

Seriously had no idea what any of the new issues were until a normal ocuk poster questioned if it was the new digital download thing in the 2nd or 3rd thread about it.

People are only understanding that rule now!! How could you ban Neil in a moment of complete confusion like that where nobody knew the rule?

As an employee of the company you should be trying to calm the situation but so far your posts just seem to inflame it.
