Condoms/Lube- Safety first kids.
Why is it either or :|
why everything i touched in te last 48 hours?
and whats the general consensus, pc or laptop?
- School shirt and tie
- DVDs
- PS3/Xbox/Wii (great for breaking the ice with new people and generally lazzing on when you inevitably run out of money near the end of term)
- Toiletries
- Clothes
- Bed stuff
- Sleeping bag for when mates come to visit
- Forget the Hi-Fi, just get some good speakers for your pc and use them instead - you won't have a lot of room in your room.
- Chargers
- Surge protector
- alarm clock
- Shot glasses/pint glasses (although you can just steal these from bars/pubs, it's a bit of a pain)
- Cool posters
- PC/laptop
- A clothes hanger thing is also useful
Depends really. The benefits of having a laptop are that you can bring it to campus/lectures and you can bring it with you on the train when you go back home.
In reality, though, 90% of the people I know who have laptops don't take them off their desk, unless going home.
i would deffo go for normal pc
btw, build a comp, or laptop?
I would say a laptop is much more use than a desktop while at uni. More sociable if your just chilling with a laptop in someone's room in the downtime between partying and lectures. We had good computer labs as well (for CS people only) when I really needed to get some hardcore working done.

It's far better for group coursework - just find somewhere nice and out comes the laptop. Getting a PC in the library etc can be a pain especially if you want several people to sit around it.
