uni thread (what to take?)

did you not get a list of stuff the uni gives you?
we got a welcome back which was bedding, cuttlery plates etc
then there was communal pots and pands, irning board and irn.

I took way too much my first year. If i were you i'd take as little as possible. Only the things you really need.

Pro-Plus is a must have. You will definately use it at least once when you have left coursework to the night before hand in. It takes a few mins to kick in but then I ended up running around the room hyper LOL . But got down to work and got a good mark; all down to pro-plus. It does make you wee a lot though

sod pro plus its far too expensive for a student, hit www.myprotein.co.uk for 100g of pure caffine which will keep you going for a very long time and just steal some sensitive digital scales off your local stoner to measure it with.

I woudln't take knives, forks, spoons, plates etc with me if they're going to be shared then you could all pitch in and get one set when you get there.

Shot glasses... 50p for 20 plastic ones from asda...

No you won't - I never got this. I've never once needed to spend all night doing coursework I've left to the night before to hand in and if you get into the habit of doing that you will fail, it's as simple as that.

The only thing pro-plus is useful for is doing 300 mile drives at midnight.

id make sure you have a good few days supply of food as you probs won;t know the area straight off and gives you some extra time to settle in

other not so obvious stuff:
coat hangers
giant bag/basket (to carry your stuff to the washing machine room if its halls you're moving to)
multi socket plugs
cushions (you might get really really crap chairs)
headphones/earphones
plasters/paracetamol (basic first aid type stuff)
usb pen

other than that just take everything you're gonna use

I repeat this twice - do not give your toilet roll to girls if you do this you will never see your toilet roll again.
