Was there anything in the race or post race about Merc and what happened with Schumi? I assume he must have had a problem, he was way too slow, and needed two pit stops, does anyone remember him flat spotting his tyres in qualifying or anything, that might explain it?

schumacher ran the conada exhaust , rosberg didnt.

the exhaust cooked schumachers tyres

After watching it on Sky it shows how much better BBC are at commentary. Martin Brundle couldn't get a decent grid interview, only managing to talk to some pit bird, a failed actor (Joey from friends) whilst only managing to talk to Vettel by muscling in on DC's interview lol.

Just seen quotes by Brawn/Schumi, looks like for whatever reason the first set of tyres were just duds, they switched him to a two stop which coupled with truly awful first stint ruined the race. THey didn't mention second or third set of tyres being bad and said lap times were okay on those sets. Though after that main group passed him in the first stint, they really didn't show him at all after that so I have no idea what lap times he was doing.

Really not sure what happened with them, shame he didn't get a chance to show anything, they really should have pitted him way way earlier though, salvaged something from the race. It was clear very early on something was wrong with them, coulda potentially only lost a pitstop in time rather than god knows, wouldn't be surprised if he dropped 30-40 seconds before pitting. Helped Massa/Button big though as he pushed so many people miles backwards :p

Hamilton was faultless today, one of his best drives.

He seems to excel when he can push continuously, which is rare on these Pirelli tyres. Such a shame he isn't in the hunt for the title this year.

Not sure what Vettel was moaning about. The overtake was clean as a whistle, with over 15kph+ advantage in the DRS zone. He got mugged and couldn't pull it back. It was then made worse by Horner suggesting a back marker cost him the victory, when a lap or 2 prior Hamilton lost over 0.9 of a sec to a back marker himself.

Ferrari need a changeable or wet race at Brazil, or a Vettel DNF.

Vettel wasn't moaning about being overtaken. He was moaning about being held up by a HRT so much that Hamilton got a run on him. They explained it all post race on Sky, Vettel caught a HRT at turn 2 and followed it all the way to turn 9 and Hamilton gained about a second, then mugged him under DRS 2 corners later.

 he clearly says it was a stupid overtake.

Point being where would Hamilton have been anyway if he wasn't held up almost a second a lap before, and where was Vettel when Hamilton got held up by half a second in sector 1 a few laps after he over took Vettel.

Hamilton was on him, gaining, sure the HRT helped him overtake that lap, but he was gaining, it was coming anyway and overall Hamilton was hurt by back markers more than he was helped throughout the race(okay probably, seemed that way).

The main thing was what Hamilton said, he could see the back marker coming up, he could see that this was his best chance, he turned the engine up and stormed through sector 1 anyway, and he was faster in sector 1 by a large margin normally. Why didn't Vettel see it coming, look at the final lap of the race, if he could see an HRT coming up, turn the engine up for a lap and make sure you don't get caught in S1 behind him. Why didn't he see Hamilton's delay behind a backmarker coming and take advantage himself.

Overall he just sounds like a whiny ****.... considering the speed Vettel could put in on that final lap and closed almost a second on Hamilton in one lap, why wasn't he doing that for a few laps after being over taken?

Also they didn't explain it all, it was there INTERPRETATION of why he was angry about the over take. He quite clearly on the radio complained about Hamilton being far too close when he over took, and he seemed to neglect to mention he took a little swipe at him which caused them to be that close.

Vettel was holding of Hamilton for many laps. The HRT gave just enough of an advantage to Hamilton at just the right time to allow him to pass. I can totally understand why Horner thinks it lost them the win and why Vettel ranted about it.

They are saying what he was annoyed at, they are interpreting, I can interpret his rant at Hamilton as he is angry over having a small penis.

That is there impression and likely correct, he was angry about the whole thing... but he clearly said it was a stupid overtake.... overtake, only one driver over took Vettel, only one driver got really close to him.

To me, that just proves the HRT held him up, and he was moaning that Hamilton done him.

He mentioned it was a stupid overtake, nothing about the HRT.

From what I can hear he says "unbeliveable... something something formula 1 these days.... something stupid overtakes"

Weather it was about Hamilton or more general, the reason Hamilton was close enough to pass him was the HRT, so I fully understand why Vettel and Horner would blame them. Horner mentioned Kartikayan twice in post race interviews, as did Newsy, and Hamilton even said it was key to him getting past.

The HRTs have been mentioned by a lot of drivers for getting in the way. Hopefully if they do get bought they will improve.

Todays race,

Jenson & Kimi - excellent driving and mad overtaking skills.
Hamilton - deserved win.
Vettel - MARDY CRY BABY! ("ahhh stupid overtake!").

The camera work was really shabby I thought. The camera operators were erratic, shaking and panning left to right and back suddenly then zooming in and out all over the place. I found it made following the footage a bit harder. In comparison to Abu Dhabi with their smooth sweeping wide angle shots it all looked to lack professionalism?? Anyone agree or am I talking carp :p

Television viewers heard angry radio messages from Vettel after he lost the lead, and the German underlined that the traffic was the target of his displeasure.

He wasn't complaning about Hamitons overtake, he was complaining that he had been put in a position to be overtaken. There was nothing about Hamilton's overtake to complain about, it was a straight forward DRS pass.

Furry muff :)

I think its fair enough. Complaining because someone past him, like we all thought it was, is pathetic, but complaining because a HRT held him up so much it allowed someone to pass him is subtly different, and I think fully justified. We would be hearing the same from any over top driver who lost the lead because of a dawdling back marker.
