United States Grand Prix 2013, Austin - Race 18/19

Just had a look at some of the videos. I will never ever tire of that sound!

The change of direction in Sector 1 is immense, far more outlined in videos trackside as opposed to the more FOM aerial shots....

Really do like this circuit a lot - wasn't sure last year but it has everything, sweeping fast turns in S1, long straight and solid curves in S2 and a technical bit in S3. Quality.

Photos are not great. Partly the fencing and crowd blocking views and the fact that you can only see over the barriers from far back unless your 10ft tall. The Nexus 5 seems OK for what it is but will never match DSLRs and other specialist cameras.

Tower is purely for observation. 251ft tall. Was used for a base jump in the first year at COTA but would be good to absail down if that's what you like.

You'll have to go next year. Book a box at turn 1 and I will come along as your guide :D (managing director trip ;))
 
Just watched Ted's qualifying notebook.

Cameraman got distracted by the grid girls all lined up. Ted goes on to say how the grid girls certainly have some chassis enhancements in Texas. :D
