Vettel sticks in a 1:39.877 for the fastest lap

Because that's all Vettel cares about - records.

I remember he used to have ideas about breaking all of Schumacher's records. That's probably what's eating at him most as he tools round in that Ferrari.

I tend to agree with Brundle that Vettel wil be gone in a year or two. He's lost all motivation and won't stick it out in an uncompetitive car for much longer.

How people can say that race was boring. We had everything. If that was boring then god help you with the rest of the races. Why even tune in.

How on earth someone can win half the races in a season and not be a 'deserving' champion is quite beyond me. Rosberg won what, 7 races in a row (if we include the tail end of last year also) which takes some doing, even in the most dominant car F1 has ever seen.

I fully agree luck's played its part, you'd be mad not to see that, but please justify how someone doesn't deserve to win a world title having won half the races in a season.

Oh, and since when were world titles decided by 'who's the best wheel-to-wheel racer'? Last time I checked it was on who scored the most points, no matter how they were earned..

He won majority of his races with Hamilton's engine blowing up!

Sainz or Alonso for driver of the day.

Yup, nothing like Verstappen, Kimi, Hulk and contact/crashes causing Bottas/Perez to be dropped miles down, a penalty for Kvyat. Thankfully Alonso and Sainz had brilliant drives and didn't have to 'beat' any of those drivers at all.

It's almost like they are 5 places higher than you'd expect them to be because 5 drivers ahead had contact or failures.

Alonso thoroughly deserves a penalty for deciding to punt Massa off the track and ruining another drivers race causing him a puncture.

Sainz and ALonso did alright, but they were the same relative gap behind Merc they always are, there were just 5 cars missing in that 50 second gap between Alonso and where Vettel would have been without the glory fast lap pitstop at the end.
