Is 4/9 a majority?

Can you work that one out or would you like a calculator?

It might not be a majority but the points table would look very different without those incidents. If Nico had had some bad luck this year and still was leading I would say bravo but he has everything fall in his lap. His bad races (except Malaysia) have been his fault. If Nico wins this year then well done to him.

I honestly think Hamilton will win it. It'd be a damn good job to get through a monster 21 race season without something going wrong for one driver. On track he should really win the last 3 races, but he need more than wins to do it. I have a gut feeling something will help him get there. I'm a great believer in things evening out over time.

I also have that gut feeling. Something tells me a Rosberg issue is coming up.

Due to engine failures in qualifying he started 10th once and last 2, as a result of those failures they had to take engine penalties, that means starting from the back again in Spa. He then had the failure in Malaysia, that is 5 races, before counting Bottas dive bombing Hamilton which hit him down to 9th and ended up 30 seconds behind Rosberg in 3rd with zero chance to win. Then on top of that Rosberg hit Hamilton twice.

So there are at least 6 races(including the Spain contact but not Austria because despite Rosberg cheating it worked out for Hamilton) Hamilton was denied any chance at all to win. Take points unfairly off a driver in 6 races in a season and the other driver... effectively one (that weren't his own fault, Austria and Spain) with Vettel hitting him in Malaysia and the only other competitive driver(due to car) will have a monumental advantage.

I am praying for rain in Brazil and for Nico to have another Monaco and the title will be back on. It would be pretty cool for Lewis to win despite all the unreliabilty.
