Unlock your ATI 6950 to a 6970 Thread

Going to run some heaven now and see what happens. I have ran Heaven at 900/1350 before without issues

What happens if you flick the switch on the card when the pc is on?

2 powercolor cards, one works fine, the other artifacts in windows.

But did the card that didn't like the flash work ok with when overclocking to 6970 speeds (with the 6950 bios).

Below is the 6950 overclocked to 900/1350

The extra shaders are clearly working

clearly taking a leaf from their phenom/athlon die harvesting techniques by not fusing the shaders off. Thats what i like to see

Its great that we get a 6970 2GB card for £220. This really is a nice Christmas bonus from AMD.

Makes the 6950 staggeringly good value really.
