**Unofficial Tyre Thread**

Bridgestone ER370's one of the pricer options when I bought them. They are now only about £68 each and I can understand why, I find them terrible.
Get some ContiWinterContacts for winter and some ContiPremiumContacts for the rest of the year. Sorted.

CSC5s, best price, from what site?

Very tempted... Just found out when i put the rears on. They are only 2.5 years old :(

Edit: Just realised I select the wrong size (35s not 55s!), not that it made that much difference to the price

Yeah I already have premium contacts on the rear of the car and will swap out the awful ER370's on the front when they need changing. I used to really like the ER300's a few years ago and had them on both our cars.

Sadly the Mrs new skoda came with them fitted :(

Which of these winter tyres would you go for?

Thanks:)

I would buy the TS850 out of all of those, it was the highest rated when I was looking. It also had the best non-snow performance, which frankly matters as some of these winter tyres are fairly dire in normal conditions.

This is a very valid point! The Contis excel in non-wintry conditions (within reason, of course).

My tyres need replacing and I would've liked a set of Goodyear Eagle F1 AS2's however they do not appear to do 265/35/R19 size for the rear? I can only find the older AS's in that size and not the AS2.

Has anyone on here tried the Hankook S1 Evo 2 tyre? It seems to get interesting reviews.

Must be something better than that available? What else can you get?

Obvious choices are the Pirelli P Zero, Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 or Continental SC 5P. I know they're all decent tyres however the reviews don't give an idea of wear rate. I'm getting through rear tyres quickly at the moment so I want a tyre that'll last a reasonable amount of miles!

Does anyone know what the differences are between these two MPSS tyres? What is the GRNX or N0 code at the end?

265/35 ZR19 (98Y) XL with rim protection ridge (FSL) GRNX

265/35 ZR19 (98Y) XL with rim protection ridge (FSL) N0
