Upcoming Concerts

Usually thats me but by some miracle I got 2 straight away with no issues - then read about lots of unhappy people who couldnt get any. I was on there as they went on sale and deliberatley picked the Monday night hoping not so many people were going for that one - maybe that worked.

Historically I've been very, very luck with tickets for Royal Albert Hall gigs. Most of the time I'm able to get seats in the first 5 rows with peak ticket buying being the previous David Gilmour gig I went to where I was right in front of his mic stand.

My lucky streak had to come to an end at some point.

Yea because it's a crap venue.

Just due to location it full of wealthy London bell ends who go there just for something to do, I think half the time have no idea what they are going to see

I saw Australian Pink Floyd there, there were like pockets of people who were clearly fans, everyone else was almost giving us death stares for making too much noise......

In the past I would have agreed with you, now, not so much. They've finally sorted the sound out so it doesn't sound like you've got cotton wool in your wards when the band are performing.

I have noticed a bunch of sour faced people but mostly in the boxes, very rarely in the stalls.

First of 6 David Gilmour concerts at the Albert Hall tonight.

Going to be a lot of angry people if the email I just received from Ticketmaster is anything to go by.

Supposedly they are going to have strict enforcement of photo ID which must match the name of the ticket. Whilst I have been to a number of gigs that this requirement was listed on the original T and C's I have never seen it enforced before or had a separate reminder email about it.

About time they did this tbh but all those that bought at inflated prices off the likes of Viagogo may be in for a shock. Tickets on there are still going for £700 plus.
I saw him on the Monday night and it was an incredible show. He’s one of my musical heroes and I’d written off the chances of ever seeing him.

I was pleased to see the ticket rules being enforced which were clearly stated at the time of purchase. I had some grief getting in as my driving licence only has one half of my surname on it, but they relented after a bit of back and forth.

Indeed - i saw him on Monday also - absolutely fantastic. His singing and guitar playing was so much better than I had expected given his age.

Concert luckily not spoilt too much by the 4 Israelis next to me who felt the need to talk throughout.

I was surprised that they did enforce the ID check - first time I have ever seen that. Also noticed there were some rows of empty seats for a sold out concert - presumably from unsold resale tickets - hopefully more artists stick to this also and put scum that use Viagogo out of business.

I went last Saturday. Fantastic performance from them all, i'd say even better than the last tour in 2016 overall. My ID got checked on the way in and I did see someone get turned away for not having the correct proof.

Got tickets to see Ghost, April next year at the O2.

Ghost are doing a world tour 2025 and at the moment there are only 4 dates in the UK, all big venues but I have been dying to see them live so cant wait. Tickets were not stupid expensive either, not for the O2 I didnt think.

Saw Blink 182 in Glasgow at the end of August and Within Temptation in Leeds this week. Still got a couple more gigs lined up.

Also my mate has got me a ticket to see Pantera in February too.
