Upcoming Concerts

Miles Kennedy, 02 Kentish Town in December. Not too big a venue and tickets under £50 each... quite the rarity these days.

Friend managed to grab standing tickets for Coldplay somehow off ticketmaster.
Lucky *******.

I did the album pre-order to get the early access code, got on yesterday the second they were available with the pre-order code and I was still in a queue of 20k people, couldn't get any tickets.

Tried again this morning and joined a queue of 180k people, couldn't get anything - Everything apart from the grossly expensive scalpers are gone.

Cancelled my preorder of the album :D

Did you go on the site bang on 9am? Or did you log on earlier? I was on there yesterday morning at 8.30 in the waiting room. Had 19k in front of me managed to get my tickets at 10.27am.

Going to see Apocalyptica at Royal Albert Hall on Monday.

1st time I saw these I'd only juuuuust about heard of them but never listen to their music. It was at Dynamo '99 on the main stage and for the 1st song the band felt like a "rest" period between two frenetic bands so people sat down on the grass and the band did the cleverest thing I'd heard in Metal in ages - They played a classical piece with the volume turned down which let everyone relax and chill and got a small amount of applause after that classical song, then the PA got ramped to 11 and they started For Whom The Bells Tool by Metallica with that intro "Durrda durrda DURRRRRR" (no drums etc back then just 4 cellos) and it was like watching a million meer-cats all suddenly pop up as the previously chilled crowd suddenly started standing up to watch them - thats a core memory I'll never forget!

I’m just not going to bother with these massive stadium concerts now, it’s impossible to get in unless you’re willing to pay silly money.

Same, me and my gig-going mates are capping ourselves to £45 per ticket now, so doing lots of smaller venues rather than 1-2 big arenas per year solely down to the greed around arena tours - they won't stop it until people stop paying, its that simple, and at the moment everyone is still paying. I stopped buy any more after Pantera's pricing put me off ever doing arenas ever again whilst the price is stupid.

Heard a live session by Geordie Greep (was the front man of Black Midi) last night on R6, was impressed so just got tickets to see him at Cambridge later in the month.

Then in Nov got tickets to see Nick Cave in B'ham and Enter Shikari in Boston of all places! (that's Lincs not Massachusetts! :p)

First of 6 David Gilmour concerts at the Albert Hall tonight.

Going to be a lot of angry people if the email I just received from Ticketmaster is anything to go by.

Supposedly they are going to have strict enforcement of photo ID which must match the name of the ticket. Whilst I have been to a number of gigs that this requirement was listed on the original T and C's I have never seen it enforced before or had a separate reminder email about it.

About time they did this tbh but all those that bought at inflated prices off the likes of Viagogo may be in for a shock. Tickets on there are still going for £700 plus.

Just got two tickets for Springsteen at Co-Op Live Manchester Arena. £300 the pair and that's seating BEHIND the stage which is a new one for me I have to say. I ordinarily wouldn't entertain tickets at this price level but I'm not sure how many more chances we will get to see The Boss in an indoor arena in the UK.

Horrendous experience with the Co-Op app pre-sale I have to say. Blank pages, spinning wheels, being kicked out of queues - I'm surprised I got any at all!

Has anyones sat "behind the stage" before? Seems a bit weird but I'm presuming it won't be that bad otherwise they wouldn't sell the tickets.

DAmm - forgot about the Stereophonics tickets this morning and Cardiff on 12th Sold out by the time i had reminded myself! Availability on 11th still but don't want to take a day off for it and wouldn't be able to get there in time.

Can't do Huddersfield as thats le mans weekend. Oh well!

I'm going to see Chelsea Wolfe at Koko on the 29th, I saw her earlier this year and she was incredible.
I really hope she plays Oui Oui Marie but not getting my hopes up

I too joined the queue this morning to buy tickets but once I reached the front I wasn’t able to purchase tickets for some unknown reason. Refreshed and rejoined the queue, but there were 30,000 in front of me, so I gave up. Tickets still available though.
