Why not both?but we can't tell whether you have bred some feral monsters or live next door to victor meldrew.
The question would then be whether either was a deliberate decision!

the first time they shouted to tell my 6 year old to stop ******* screaming
When I first moved there, it was proposed to become an area of seating with various plants, trees. No mention of a playground.Thats why you moved there. You thrive on turmoil cheesefest.
Point out that that's quite possibly a section 5 public order offence and that if they swear at your kids again you'llreport them to the policeskin them alive and wear them as a suit.
I presume this is the day time when kids would be playing outside, in which case they can just get over it.
OP is the noise producer for reference. There's actually no right time of day to be causing a noise disturbance. The neighbours that also want to enjoy sitting out in their gardens have a right to do so without the noise. Complaint to the council and then keep a diary for evidence so the council can take them to court if they don't adjust their noise.
Yes, I know the OP is the parent of the noise maker(s), I was combining the correct course of action for anyone else reading.OP is the noise producer for reference.
Also as discussed through here, general kids happiness is different to screeching and being uncontrollable with noise.
If it's dwelling to dwelling (including garden) sec5 POA wouldn't come into play.Point out that that's quite possibly a section 5 public order offence and that if they swear at your kids again you'll report them to the police.
