US ELECTION RESULTS THREAD...

Let me get this straight. If obama gets florida and north carolina which it looks like it will hes pretty much done it hasnt he.
 
sorry , i'm confused with how the system works... it says :

McCain 16
Obama - 3

Is this important? or is it just the beginning with states which where likely to vote for McCain or do we have a upset on our hands?
 
Not really - long way to go yet I mean that's 42 seats for him - but it looks like McCain could get Georgia with 15 seats.

Ok - using the BBC website you can hover over each state, which will tell you how many seats are present in each one. Then by clicking on them - you can tell who's nearer to winning them (actual figures of votes).

Illnois, Texas and California are the biggies to get (106 in total).

Yeah it's just the first few states, which were expected to go for McCain. More polls close in 1 minute.
