Well we've seen that she's pretty decent on grass
If not for that wobble at Wimbledon who knows how much further she could have gone. Her matches before that were on a different level.

Disagree. She performed well and showed great resilience. Sure she was annoyed about the break in play but that wasn't the difference between the players. Fernandez serve wasn't consistent enough but I thought she was very competitive and showed great fight. They are teenagers - give them a break. Amazing match from both of them.Fernandez lost it mentally during the injury time out by arguing with one of the officials on the verge of tears, as opposed to staying on your side of the court doing warm up keeping your heart rates up. She needs to learn to deal with that better, mentally she isn’t on the same level Emma is despite a year older.

Unbelievable performance. Congratulations to a wonderful young woman.
Joe Salisbury also won the mens doubles on Friday and the mixed doubles today:

She was 400/1 before the start of the tournament. Oh for a time machine!I remember watching Radacanu at Wimbledon and thinking this girl is really good but didn't think she'd be picking up the US open trophy a couple of months later. What an amazing day for British tennis.
Yeah, been a great tournament for the Brits.
Winning 3 out of 5 finals isn't bad at all.
Yeah that's a fantastic achievement as well, to win both mixed and non mixed doubles at the same grand slam. First Brit to do so, I believe.

The final was closer then the score line suggestedWas at a wedding so missed the match but I've never been so confident about a sporting result as Raducanu winning, the girl's a megastar.

Well first of all you don’t need sponsors etc to make it. Mostly skill and luck(being scouted)I think only football has enough money for anyone with talent to come through regardless of money.

I know, was a beach wedding in Cornwall so didn't even have signal. You need to get your priorities sorted out!
It was a rather tense affair, nightmare on the nerves, I'm only just coming down from it now![]()

Thought the girl was special when she faced Diatchenko at Wimbledon, didn't know she was this special.
