US Open 2021

good luck to her she is playing some amazing tennis and looks so relaxed and confident, I hope she wins it!

Concur. I’m really rooting for her. I’ve actually enjoyed watching the women’s side more than the men’s this year and that certainly is something. Some of the shots she was producing, if she can keep it up and not get the jitters can we go as far as to say it’s hers for the taking?

Today was a massive test. Sabalenka has to be the favourite with her tie against the other teenager Fernandez, would be awesome for the final to be between the two of them.

Also goes to show how bad the depth of talent is that she’s now ranked British 1. Thought Konta would have been a lot higher than she is.

Raducanu is a breath of fresh air.

Reasons:
*) No ridiculous grunting
*) Actually chases down the ball - SO fed up with women players letting balls go
*) Can hit aggressive shots from defence
*) Seems to be genuinely match fit, obviously puts the work in - Compare her to Shelby Rogers.
*) Has a game with so much more than big baseline shots

As Reuben klang said - She has made the women's game worth watching again. Just really hope she can build on this.

So many others have had that magic combination, get the sponsership mega-bucks (which she will) and then kind of given up - Kournikova, Ivanovic, Bouchard.

Really hope she wins it. If she loses, let her lose playing well.

That's harsh on Kournikova. She won the Australian twice, got to the final of the French and lost a few other semi finals all by the age of 20.

If it wasn't for her constant injuries and a very early retirement she would've won far more and been recognised for her tennis rather than her looks.

Not sure I can stay up past midnight for these women's semis tonight. I guess I'll have to use my super lightweight powers and have a few shandies around 6-8pm, doze off for a few hours and wake up just in time. :p

Interesting match ups - Sakkari and Sabalenka are built like brick **** houses compared to Fernandez and Raducanu. :D

Prime have replays and no score spoliers on the page but do show upcoming matches meaning you couldn't watch yesterdays match without knowing she won. :p

But with another day in-between, it shouldn't be showing Saturday's matches tomorrow.

She's a class act on and off the court.

Go to the match tonight and click it to your watch list.

Then just go to your profile > watchlist and it’ll be there. When you open that window you won’t be spoiled. Just make sure you play from the start.

You’ll effectively be streaming it on a massive delay and will be spoiler free.

Good to see Murray|Saures make it through to the men's doubles final where they will play Salisbury|Ram.

British interest on both sides of the net.

I think Raducanu would fair better against Sabalenka if she makes the final, Fernandez would force her in to the type of errors Sabalenka's making tonight.

Edit: Sabalenka's first serve is so consistent, 104-107 mph out wide or 116-117 mph down the middle.
