You can get a PC with a X1950 Pro now for about 250 quid (4GB Ram, C2D), I'm sure that'd play UT3 reasonably well.KNiVES said:Somebody who doesn't want to spend over half a grand on a PC to play on UT3?

Yeah it was leaving out the monitor at least, it was posted in General Hardware, pretty nifty, add in a 22" monitor and you're at about the cost of a PS3 I guess.KNiVES said:Really ? I hardly believe you can get such a system for a mere 250, unless you're leaving out stuff like the monitor, m/kb, etc.

By the way - how can someone say it's a good idea for PS3 but not for Xbox? That's just silly.

One of the main attractions to console gaming for me is that everyone has EXACTLY the same hardware, same controllers, same everything. There is no hacking either, so the outcome solely relies upon your skill.
Having keyboard and mouse support is going to make the games slightly one sided to say the least.![]()
we are doing it in a way that will be balanced without feeling "gimped" for either side. We'll also allow people to choose whether or not they want to allow mixed controller vs. keyboard/mouse games or not.
Kronologic said:Why oh why does this KB/M debate always happen. Fine if Sony want to allow that thats their prerogative. MS are making the right decision by only supporting the control pad. The only reason Sony allow is is becasue they claim the PS2/3 are computers to reduce the tax that has to be paid on the console. If they claimed it was a computer and did not support the KB/M then it would be obvious to all (not that it isnt) that they are spouting **** about it being a computer and not a games console.
I recently started playing Unreal and UT on the PC and TBH I really Really missed by joypad. Uncomfortable sitting position, clumsy control system fingers hitting all the wrong buttons. Not enough buttons on my right hand too many buttons on my left hand. Joypad for the win.

Search is down, it was in General Hardware, something like "Amazing what £250 will get you".Skyfall said:Link plx xxx

And it will be gimped one way or the other... Its just simply not possible to balance that kind of inherent imbalance. Not only that, but who buys a console to play with a keyboard and mouse.

Yeah, getting a little tired and bored of this argument I just wish the dons would find my best rant on the subject and make it a sticky.dannyjo22 said:As i was scrolling down the page I was thinking any sec now I will come to Krono's post on thisSure enough regular as clockwork, shame you cant have more lines of text in the sig cos you could make it yours. Personally I like the parity just using the pad gives, I like the option of putting my feet up on the desk laying back and playing.
