- Utter turd - OCUK WORST GAME OF THE YEAR

My vote goes for A:CM as well. I am the biggest Alien/Aliens fan ever and this has to be my biggest gaming disappointment ever. The difference between the first screenshots and the initial game previews to the finished product is unbelievable.

And to think I had it on pre-order and paid £30 for it......damn.
 
it's funny that some of the games that will win the best-in-class awards will also win the utter turd award

just goes to show the lack of games that are genuinely interesting
 
Rome Total War 2 or Grid 2 are the two games I purchased in 2013 that I felt were either un-finished or not very good.

Rome total war 2 can be made better with mods, and they did patch the game up, Grid 2 on the other hand, wow... What a turd of a game, loved Grid but Grid 2 just a horrible mess IMO

I paid full price for it also. God what a mug I was.

So my vote goes to A:CM also.

Just a rushed and unfinished mess of a game.
 
I think there's perhaps a bit of a difference between "worst game of the year" and "most disappointing game of the year" e.g. I can see how some would consider Bioshock Infinite the latter (though I personally don't) but you can't really call it the worst game of the year; there were plenty of other titles that arrived broken and were the result of lazy or incompetent development rather than just not being what you expected it to be. Bioshock was visually very impressive and clearly had a lot of polish put in; I can't think of any bugs or anything that I encountered.

Personally, I didn't really play any bad games this year as I don't tend to buy stuff on impulse or without doing a bit of research first, but I think Ride To Hell: Retribution (or whatever it was called) would get my vote based purely on the gameplay I've seen.
 
Of the games I've bought this year mine would have to be Tomb Raider.

OMG I got absolutely sick of the constant cutscenes and QT events, if I wanted to sit and watch I would have bought the ******* film.

Bioshock was also and utter borefest but at least I was playing rather than watching.

Not sure what you mean but were you referring to about 8.45 the batsman clipped the ball to the right but then suddenly a fielder way over the left had the ball ?

I think he meant the but just after 9 minutes where the two guys are running backwards and forwards and the other guy walks over casually and just stands there in front of the ball on the ground.
