We never bother with it but this year our local alehouse are doing a pie and beer tasting thing for couples. We tend to go up on a Monday or Tuesday anyway, the only difference this time is that its limited tickets (presume limited pies and beer).
Did you buy them or did she? (I think I know the answer)Oh and waiting for the lacy things to arrive from Amazon...

It's my birthday, our anniversary and now Valentines all in the space of about 10 days so by the time we get here on a Monday it's just kinda 'meh'.
I'm not a fan of cards at any point. Unless it's hand made!
The last time I gave anyone a Valentine's gift was when I got chocolates delivered to one of my colleagues in 2018 as I had a crush on her. I got nothing out of it aside from a thanks, predictably. One year I received 2 cards at work, but that was at least 10 years ago and I haven't had anything since.
Having been single for more or less my whole life I'm very much used to treating it like any other day of the year. I did ask what people were doing for Valentine's in the office last week, and pretty much everyone (including those in relationships) said they weren't doing anything special.
I remember years back someone said to me that they thought it was tight that someone had given them a hand made card. Made me think that they must be even more dead inside than me!
Jesus!
That's brutal. I would probably ditch someone like that on the spot!
Haha. IIRC it was a Christmas card rather than Valentine's, and I think it was a friend commenting to me about a card that I'd been given rather than actually saying it to the giver. Still a pretty crappy attitude though.
People keep saying this but the restaurant offers around here are fairly decent. Nice set menus normally, nothing crazy expensive by any meansWe celebrate it a week later when things are not overpriced
