Yes.
Although I've tried Linux on Intel-based PCs I'd lean towards an AMD GPU particularly for a Linux gaming PC. I'm currently running SteamOS on my lounge PC which is my old gaming rig and is a 6650XT and runs great. Only issue is the intro/splash screens being choppy but that might be my HDMI cable tbh.
Although you'll more than likely be fine. My 3 week old new PC built on AM5 with an 9070XT has has horrendous stability issues (AMD pageflip bugs). I've finally managed to get this stable adding a few boot parameters for now which isn't ideal (amdgpu.dpm and amdgpu.runpm). But like Windows there are some bugs/issues that can impact you.
