Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2

I would say the first game is my number one game so have stuck with my pre order for the moment , but it would be nice to have some news on the new developer

I loved the first one too but after playing my first playthrough as a female Malkavain and falling in love with my character so much, I expected that another playthrough with any other clan would be a lesser experience. That was a few years back and I do fancy another playthrough. Convince me to go back and try another clan?

There's a bunch of mods worth giving a go, I very much enjoyed the Clan Quest Mod:

I'd recommend looking over some of the more popular stuff out there and seeing if anything catches your eye.

The other great feature of the game is just how much clans can change the play through due to changes they make. for example Ventrue can dominate past enemies, and of course Malkavain have snippets of the game whispered to them.

I tried to play the old one but I guess it's one of those 'you had to be there's type scenarios. But I still want to play this.

Yeah I struggled with the origonal, but I was very late to the party but I really like the whole concept... I really liked vamYpr, though for example.. I'd reccomend vampyr if you need a bloodthirsty fix in the meantime - well worth a punt for £6.50 on CDkeys...although its hardly a recent game it doesnt feel as dated as Masquerade.

I know what you mean but, once you get into the story, you really don't care about the graphics and clunkiness. The mods do a lot of sort out the bugs etc.

It's just got a vibe that is difficult to emulate - I love it.

I think a lot of source engine games had a similar kind of atmosphere. I'll try it again I expect. I think I used a mod that fixed some stuff.

The originals graphics even seemed quite dated at release but the gameplay was great once it got going and you travelled to the different areas. Always meant to replay as a different character.

Also, I did give Vampyr a whirl recently but just couldn't get the hang of the irritating combat.

Yeah it's not a perfect game by any means, but if you want a vamipre themes action/RPG type thing, it's a pretty shallow pool of options.

I really hope this new one will be good, like someone else said, Id' heard it was mothballed quite some time ago so its good that it's still going...
