Hi,
I'm thinking of buying a Vapochill Lightspeed & would like to know what problems i might encounter.

Will it need to be on 24/7?

How safe is it(worried about CPU damage)?

I'm runing as Asus A8N32-SLI with an FX55 San Diego.

Thanks in advance.

Go for a mach 2 gt,i use mine from 9am till 10pm everyday it took me a while to make my mind up what phase unit to go for but for me the mach`s the winner,im running my X2 4800 @ 3GHz -28c :D

vapochill have a far far far far far superior mounting kit and general support.

They are easy to set up, easier than watercooling. Cant go far wrong with a vapo mate.

Machs are great for really high end, but for a beginner, vapo's win hands down.

The LS holds great temps, as good as a mach 2.

want it all anodised a nice colour? ;)

Tom

Like the nice one's in the case section.

Might get it painted a nice colour as i'm a Car bodyshop estimator so can get things painted for nothing :)

But would love one of those anodised cases...very nice indeed.

You can hear the compressor, but it's not overly loud. Fans are adjustable, at least on the Mach II anyway so you can set that to a level you can tollerate.

Mach 2 all the way vapo you can't adjust the fans which are loud I do suppose I am a little bias as I have owned a few mach2's

The Vapo has a better mounting mechanism and a superior block.

You can adjust the fans through the chill control on *** Vapo but the compressor remains loud

The Mach 2 is quieter but the mounting system is awful and the block very inefficient.

Buy A Vapo then I will mod it with a Mach 2 compressor for you!!! and regas with R402a for much better temps.

Or evan better I can also add a chilly1 head the best evap in the world!

PM me if you want my help with a mod or any phase cooling!

So get it modded to a Mach 2 GT with a Chilly 1 basically lol.

I would also like to add the fact that a Chilly head is SPECULATED to be the best in the world, there is NO evidence of this and even Chilly says that. I personally have to say I use Kayl evaps and they perform on par with Chilly1's.

I personally would have gone for a Mach 2 GT.

Well as for the mounting of the cpu head(mach 2 gt) im a first time phase noob and found it really easy to build, scince then ive takin the head off to remount on another board still no problems doing so :)

All i can say to you m8 is do a hell of a lot of reading on phase,it took me a while to pick what i wanted.

The reason i went for the Vapo was because a competitor was selling them on a weekly special deal for £400 inc delivery. My next problem is trying to remove the motherboard backing plate on my Asus A8N32-SLI as it seem to be fixed on with some sort of sticky pad.Anyone know how to remove it without destroying the motherboard?

Thanks.

everyone is saying mach 2's are better but dont get me wrong the vapo LS is still a serious piece of kit. For £400inc new it isnt a bad deal, and i know that it is a lot easier to use a vapo head with an ihsless cpu than with the standard mach 2 mount.

Personally i think the standard mach 2 head sucks but i aint paying for a chilly1 so ill stick with it :D
