+ Many women of a certain age need surgery. All of the ladies I know have.
And the majority of the 79+ posts on here from men have had zero/few issues from a vasectomy?

I’m not talking about vasectomy. And the majority of the 79+ posts on here from men have had zero/few issues from a vasectomy?
If you've got the money I would definitely recommend looking into it with a private clinic as it sounds like you were going through the NHS who's protocols will for most end up making you feel as you said like you're on a rollercoaster due to the daft guidelines they have for treatment.Yes I tried it. Too much of a roller coaster for me. Enjoyed the up bits but not the down.
It did give me a great insight into how it would feel though.
My biggest issue is fatigue, I’ve had enough (work) by around 1pm, sleep most days when I get home.
It’s certainly real as I’ve also got low bone density as well, osteopenia.
I would also say it’s poorly understood by UK GPs and they have very little empathy.
I had a call with the doctor about it in July of last year I believe, and then got referred to the clinic, and they sent me a questionnaire. So it was about 6 months. How long was the wait?
Thanks, i'll start the ball rolling i think....I had a call with the doctor about it in July of last year I believe, and then got referred to the clinic, and they sent me a questionnaire. So it was about 6 months.
A gift that after you've had children you no longer need.Let me answer that.
Male fertility is a gift, a life long gift.
If anyone is going to get sterilised let the women do it, there fertility stops anyway around 50.
I seriously regretted a vasectomy and would consider it one of my worse life choices.
Reason I did it.A gift that after you've had children you no longer need.
Same - much less invasive and less dangerous than asking a woman to do it. Women have to go through the menopause which is a task in itself, furthermore, having had decades of taking the pill I think it's only right for men to actually step up to do the right thing.Reason I did it.
As you know back fired for me.Same - much less invasive and less dangerous than asking a woman to do it. Women have to go through the menopause which is a task in itself, furthermore, having had decades of taking the pill I think it's only right for men to actually step up to do the right thing.
As you know back fired for me.
I ended up having the menopause
Yes, I’m taking it more seriously after this thread.I appreciate it must be tough. Hormonal imbalance is hugely overlooked here in this country. This is why I regularly monitor mine. Hope you get it sorted.
It's something that definitely needs to become more known about and accepted so I'm more than happy to discuss it knowing how it helped me.Yes, I’m taking it more seriously after this thread.
Thanks to @tom_e for being so frank.
