So the MSRP announced at Siggraph
  • AMD Radeon RX Vega 64: $499
You need to sell here now for 549 pounds to make a single digit profit margin ? ... If so you be out of business soon

Being doing this for 15 years, so don't think were going anywhere soon, sorry to disappoint you.

Lets get one thing crystal clear here!

Launch MSRP $499, a $100 reduction for launch, regular MSRP of $599, check a site such as newegg for confirmation:
https://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod...BESTMATCH&Description=RX+VEGA&N=-1&isNodeId=1

UK launch MSRP £449, a £100 reduction, yes we got a full £100 which worked favourably and much cheaper than you can buy one from US, remember US is excluding taxes. Now launch pricing is finished, so £549 which falls in line with $599 MSRP.

I had one in my shopping basket at £450 and then thought better of it. Didn't think it was a great deal even at that price. They're playing catch up with Nvidia again, competing with last year's cards but with worse efficiency and barely better prices (if you can even find one at MSRP). I've got a feeling this could be the year that Nvidia bury the red team for good.

Incorrect .... Launch price MSRP at siggraph ..Confirmed by AMD is 499 dollar ...
Where did that extra 100 dollar came from all of a sudden ?

As per post above SIGGRAPH slide said msrp for black cooler was 499. Metal cooler and game bundles 100 more but reports did say distributers would hike the price by 100. So probably ocuk have to pay 100 more to secure stock from their distributers.

The monitor bundle deal makes no sense. And said bundle would give money off monitor $200. Yet ocuk price of card and monitor puts the monitor at £800 which is 50 more than it sells alone!

Why?

Just checked and monitor is £739 at well known stores. That's less than ocuk and makes this bundle price even more crazy as there isn't the promised AMD $200 off the monitor if you bought it with a card. What gives? Monitor pack should be £449 for card + £600 or there about a for monitor.

Go here you can see my point https://gaming.radeon.com/en-us/rxvega/

The increase was announced by AMD days ago:

The specific variant that is affected by the price inflation is the reference air cooled model which should have shipped at the $499 US price but AMD has told their partners to sell the card at the same pricing as the limited edition model. This means that the reference SKU will be feature a price of $599 US which is $100 US more than the suggested price and that would be a major drawback for Vega.

Other models have also been bumped up in prices but the reference model has seen the highest jump so far.

Your maths is wrong, the monitor bundles has no discount or price added, it takes the price of the components from webshop, so your either doing it wrong or our website is.

The advantage of the bundles is they have free games.

AMD's launch plan was:

$499 - NO games for a set amount of cards (NOW SOLD OUT)
$599 - Black and Silver with games
$699 - Aqua with games

The monitor and other bundles use the black card which was priced at £449 for launch (£100 discount), the pre-allocated amount sold out so these are now back to the regular £549 ($599) price but now include the games. But at the time monitor, plus card and games was £1249.99, the saving was the £100 discounted already from the card, but the bonus was the advantage of getting free games. I tried to explain this in the OP.

Now the card is £549, back to normal price (MSRP is $599, the $499 MSRP is launch MSRP for set amount, irrelevant what people believe this is the case and stock has come direct from Sapphire/AMD, they set my buy prices and well selling at $499 loses money unless AMD support it which they did for a set amount which is now sold) As such the price is now £1299, so its only gone up £50 whereas the card went up £100 as Samsung are supporting rebate when sold as a bundle.

So its cheaper than you can buy separately (£550 +£800 = £1350 and no games), the bundle is £1299 with free games. So either you can't add up, or just like myself and most people and customers are highly confused by exactly what AMD have done for this launch, LOL! ;)

YOU ARE WRONG!

AMD said $499 launch price! We hit there launch price and sold all their launch allocation and more at the launch price!

Launch is over so there is now no stand alone black part, they are now all sold with games starting at $599, its not OcUK, it is the launch plan AMD made, we stuck by it whereas many did not.

Just like on August 28th AMD will launch VEGA 56 at $399, so probably £349 UK, this will also be a launch price for limited volume. One the set launch volume is sold out the price will go up, no doubt to $449-$499 but unconfirmed yet.
