VEGA IS FINALLY HERE, ITS IN STOCK ALONG WITH SOME EPIC BUNDLES & FREESYNC DEALS!!

I'm thinking wait. If the Vega56 does well it might drive down prices of the 1070. The 1080 Ti will likely be going up in price though.

We will see.

Wait but don't hold your breath, no disappointment that way lol 56is what two more weeks? Had a 290 for how many years in comparison? Lol

The AMD cards deffo have longevity whether you want them to have it or not!! :p

Yep, ive had Xfire disabled for well over year now, its utter garbage, you soon get sick of having to quit out of games and disable it when you load them up, because you get terrible performance, stuttering, graphical problems, this, that and the other.

Do you not feel like removing the second one, maybe putting it in a time capsule and burying it in the back garden. You could give it to a charity shop if the former is too much effort. Either way it would make you feel better. So much turmoil. When i split this pc soon, i'm seriously considering sending you one of my 980ti's, free, maybe both. It would be like the beginning of a journey to a better life, then move to Volta :D.

Add in an extra £200 for the gsync premium monitor and also the expectation that there is going to be limited to no improvement from drivers unlike Vega.

I am not saying I would buy one as went the whole hog with a 1080ti, but if I was purchasing now considering I have the CF791 (which I paid full RRP for), I definitely would consider it.
Thing is ill upgrade my pascal titan to volta if its good cause i can :p

after reading all the reviews its the vega 56 thats going to be the master ocer its only a few FPS behind the vega 64 in most benchmarks and could be 300-450 £ ?

Before you get your hopes up... remember the 470. Initially it was like £10 cheaper than a 480, and some (looking at you, Asus) 470s were more expensive than 480s :p

You really shouldn't expect anything "for free" these days. If it performs like a 64 don't expect it to be £100 cheaper ;)

Damn, the way things are atm many of us would bite your hand off if you offered us a 1070 new for £300.

Tell me about it! - I dropped lucky, very much so, it was on clearance at a high St retailer just prior to the current mining related hike, I was at the time reticent about spending even that but thought prices weren't going down any time soon and how right I was.

For the amount of use its had since I bought it frankly I'm minded to sell it at a profit and get another 780ti which tbh the difference between my old one and the 1070 hasn't struck me as that huge especially given the vast difference in price....

Funny I got the best RX470 4GB out there for £158 last year,ie,the Powercolor Devil RX470 4GB,and I could hit 1400MHZ core on it!

:p

I think you have forgotten the RX480 4GB was priced quite close to the RX470 4GB initially,ie,$200 against $180,and that was for reference models. The custom RX470 4GB cards cost reference RX480 4GB money initially.

Isn't that what I just said? :p

I remember the 470 launch well, because I was interested in buying one. They launched at something like £190, when the 480 4G was £200.

And then you get AIB 470 models (I mentioned the Strix) that cost more than a 480.
