VEGA IS FINALLY HERE, ITS IN STOCK ALONG WITH SOME EPIC BUNDLES & FREESYNC DEALS!!

Did we not already go over this with you where I myself told you that you are wrong as did other forum members.

AMD have worded it wrong, it was a launch price, end of. Don't accept that tough, but that is the truth.

Though OcUK might be a big player, we do not set pricing, if the price was $499 then why is there now no longer a single retailer in the world selling at $499, but they are all at $599, kind of proves my point.

I know I am correct, AMD know the truth, its all in writing in confidential emails from them and once again you will argue a point where you were already told you were wrong by myself and several other forum members who can understand it.

As per the official AMD slide i am NOT wrong ... Other forum members agreed with me

AMD worded it wrong ??? AMD did not communicate this nowhere pre launch .. If so then please show me where

I showed you the freaking official AMD slide ... Big letters GPU KING FOR UNDER $500 ...So yes that is $499

This whole gouging debacle only came to light at 2 minutes after launch with all the reviews out based on a $499 MSRP

AMD knows the truth alright ...explained in those confidential E-mails ... .At the end of the day its the consumer who's getting screwed again.

AMD knew about the sudden price hike before launch ..You knew about the price hike before launch ... But don't expect the consumer to know it, these are bad business practices from AMD

Indeed, videocardz = fake news. :p

It's a completely misleading headline, all AMD basically said is that they initially sold some cards at $499 and because of the HUGE demand (that couldn't be met with initial batch of 100 cards) they are now working to increase stock.

Northern Europe had a lot more than 100 cards, AMD were not that stingy. :)

Looks like GeForce Volta cards, or whatever the successor to Pascal is called, are not arriving until at least 6 months time from what Nvidia CEO Huang has said. This is a huge boon for AMD and Vega, it gives ample time for both the 64 and the 56 to mature nicely. I expect the Vega 56 to be notably further ahead in performance versus a 1070 by 3-4 months time, if it isn't already, and custom Vega 56's to be below £400. This will make it the go-to card in the £300+ and 1440p price-range.

NVIDIA still cannot meet demand for Pascal so they have zero reason to release anything new and AMD can't meet demand for RX or VEGA series. Simple fact is this will be a record year for VGA sales, maybe the greatest in history of both NVIDIA and AMD. Crypto currency seems here to stay and the demand is high. OcUK as a company is also seeing many corporate companies also now moving away from Quadro/FireGL and simply choosing the desktop parts for their workstations, servers etc. Demand has increased from all sectors for us, B2C, B2B and corporate are all massively up, 2017 through all the economic disaster is a year of boom it seems for IT, or all the manufacturers are doing a Porsche style and just limiting production to keep demand high and sold out, now there is a conspiracy theory for you. ;)

Good for you guys, I guess :p

Gibbo can you give us some idea of what happened with the RX 580s and how/why they all went out of stock for most retailers? Were AMD just ordering the manufacture of low quantities of these chips and so couldn't meet demand when the cryptocurrency mining boom happened? More importantly, do you think stock of 580s will normalize soon? I know you posted that you have some coming in next week, but is stock going to be sustained in the near future?
