VEGA IS FINALLY HERE, ITS IN STOCK ALONG WITH SOME EPIC BUNDLES & FREESYNC DEALS!!

OCUK's German sister as well as another German vendor offered the Sapphire for €409 which equals £379, both already sold out. Don't know how much they had on stock though.

Decided it was worth jumping on @ 380 because who knows when the mining crazy will end and what the vendor cards will be priced at later. Once I sell my 480 shouldn't be too bad.

They also have the card at £378 standalone. So this must have been an AMD thing after the launch disaster with the Vega 64. Ashame since I remember Gibbo saying these were gonna be £350

He said he thinks they should be sold for that and he was going to press AMD on trying to get that price, but he doesn't set the RRP on them and obviously AMD think they can make more money by not listening to the guy whose job it is to sell things.

They'd have definitely had a sale out of me at £350 but not £380; you have to take a stand somewhere or you forfeit the right to complain about graphics card prices and become part of the problem.

Just a reminder:

Guys a heads up, try to keep it to within OcUK forum ONLY!

As you all know or should know VEGA 56 launches Monday at 14:00, we shall be doing a STAND ALONE PACK at a special, supported price again, there shall be a RED Pack at normal price, the good news is AMD have authorised us to sell thousands at this supported price, the hope the cards remains on sale for longer than an hour and though I won't confirm the exact price, it shall be under £400 ! Though we have some stock now, the bulk of stock arrives next week, Bank holiday weekend is playing havoc with shipments, so the bigger volume will arrive following week, so if the products show pre-order, just get your order in, do not wait for them to show in stock otherwise you risk missing out on the reduced price.

Also AMD have extended our supported price on VEGA 64 and they want us to go live at the same time, unfortunately we can only sell an additional 300 units, so we expect them to really not last long, the price will be £469-479 and we expect them to be gone within the hour. You will see to simplify matter these products are now called "STAND ALONE" and games are removed. New identical products have being setup, but are called Black Pack and have the games. *HOWEVER* due to the limited quantity this pricing shall go live the following day Tuesday 29th August at 13:45 so I can monitor the run-rate and remove product from sale when the allocated 300 units is sold out (I DO NOT WORK BANK HOLIDAYS & SHALL BE IN SCOTLAND). This date/time won't be moved, so don't even ask. If you cannot make yourself available at 13:45 Tuesday 29th to spend 5 minutes ordering, thats your issue, not ours, take a poo break, coffee break or even the day off.

I am giving you a heads up, this is only posted here on the forum and it gives you first chance to jump on the site and get an order in for VEGA 56 on August 28th at 14:00 at sub £400 or a VEGA 64 at £469-£479 on August 29th at 13:45.

This shall ONLY be posted in this thread!

if the 64 should be 450 and the 56 is only slightly slower its price was never going to be 350
Why not? That's always the case.
5870 was 300, the 5850 was 200.
290X was like 450, the 290 was 350 (Give or take, I bought a 290 for 330 on launch)

Same as always.

People get told to vote with their wallets, but the people that vote with their wallets are vastly outnumbered by those clambering to get their wallets :p
